Waurin’s Chronicle of England, Volume 6, covering the period 1450 to 1471, from which we have selected and translated Chapters relating to the Wars of the Roses, provides a vivid, original, contemporary description of key events some of which he witnessed first-hand, some of which he was told by the key people involved with whom Waurin had a personal relationship.

10th July 1661 Christopher Guise 1st Baronet [aged 44] was created 1st Baronet Guise of Elmore in Gloucestershire.

16th July 1661 Philip Parker 1st Baronet [aged 43] was created 1st Baronet Parker of Arwarton in Suffolk. Rebecca Long Lady Parker by marriage Lady Parker of Arwarton in Suffolk.

21st July 1661 Charles Hussey 1st Baronet [aged 35] was created 1st Baronet Hussey of Caythorpe in Lincolnshire.

21st July 1661 Edward Barkham 1st Baronet [aged 31] was created 1st Baronet Barkham Waynflete.

25th July 1661 John Banks 1st Baronet [aged 34] was created 1st Baronet Banks of London by King Charles I of England, Scotland and Ireland.

In 1670 Christopher Guise 1st Baronet [aged 53] died. His son John [aged 16] succeeded 2nd Baronet Guise of Elmore in Gloucestershire.

In 1674 John Guise 2nd Baronet [aged 20] and Elizabeth Howe Lady Guise were married. She by marriage Lady Guise of Elmore in Gloucestershire.

In November 1695 John Guise 2nd Baronet [aged 41] died of smallpox. He was buried in St John the Baptist's Church, Elmore. His son John [aged 18] succeeded 3rd Baronet Guise of Elmore in Gloucestershire.

On or after 4th June 1696, the date of their marriage license, John Guise 3rd Baronet [aged 19] and Elizabeth Napier Lady Guise were married. She by marriage Lady Guise of Elmore in Gloucestershire. They were fourth cousins.

On or after 2nd January 1711 , the date of their marriage license, John Guise 3rd Baronet [aged 34] and Anne Russell Lady Guise were married. She by marriage Lady Guise of Elmore in Gloucestershire. His second marriage, her third.

On or after 14th June 1732 , the date of their marriage license, John Guise 4th Baronet [aged 31] and Jane Saunders Lady Guise were married. She by marriage Lady Guise of Elmore in Gloucestershire.

On 16th November 1732 John Guise 3rd Baronet [aged 55] died. His son John [aged 31] succeeded 4th Baronet Guise of Elmore in Gloucestershire.

In May 1769 John Guise 4th Baronet [aged 68] died. His son William [aged 32] succeeded 5th Baronet Guise of Elmore in Gloucestershire.

On 6th April 1783 William Guise 5th Baronet [aged 46] died unmarried. Baronet Guise of Elmore in Gloucestershire extinct.
