The Chronicle of Geoffrey le Baker of Swinbroke. Baker was a secular clerk from Swinbroke, now Swinbrook, an Oxfordshire village two miles east of Burford. His Chronicle describes the events of the period 1303-1356: Gaveston, Bannockburn, Boroughbridge, the murder of King Edward II, the Scottish Wars, Sluys, Crécy, the Black Death, Winchelsea and Poitiers. To quote Herbert Bruce 'it possesses a vigorous and characteristic style, and its value for particular events between 1303 and 1356 has been recognised by its editor and by subsequent writers'. The book provides remarkable detail about the events it describes. Baker's text has been augmented with hundreds of notes, including extracts from other contemporary chronicles, such as the Annales Londonienses, Annales Paulini, Murimuth, Lanercost, Avesbury, Guisborough and Froissart to enrich the reader's understanding. The translation takes as its source the 'Chronicon Galfridi le Baker de Swynebroke' published in 1889, edited by Edward Maunde Thompson. Available at Amazon in eBook and Paperback.

In 1648 Henry Hunloke 1st Baronet (age 30) died. His son Henry (age 2) succeeded 2nd Baronet Hunloke of Wingerworth in Derbyshire. Catherine Tyrwhitt Lady Hunloke by marriage Lady Hunloke of Wingerworth in Derbyshire.

On 3rd January 1715 Henry Hunloke 2nd Baronet (age 69) died. His son Thomas (age 32) succeeded 3rd Baronet Hunloke of Wingerworth in Derbyshire.

Before 25th March 1724 Thomas Windsor Hunloke 3rd Baronet (age 41) and Charlotte Throckmorton Lady Hunloke (age 26) were married. She by marriage Lady Hunloke of Wingerworth in Derbyshire.

On 30th January 1752 Thomas Windsor Hunloke 3rd Baronet (age 69) died. His son Henry (age 27) succeeded 4th Baronet Hunloke of Wingerworth in Derbyshire.

On 21st December 1769 Henry Hunloke 4th Baronet (age 45) and Margaret Coke Lady Hunloke (age 18) were married. She by marriage Lady Hunloke of Wingerworth in Derbyshire. The difference in their ages was 26 years.

On 15th November 1804 Henry Hunloke 4th Baronet (age 80) died. His son Thomas (age 31) succeeded 5th Baronet Hunloke of Wingerworth in Derbyshire.

In 1816 Thomas Windsor Hunloke 5th Baronet (age 43) died. His son Henry (age 4) succeeded 6th Baronet Hunloke of Wingerworth in Derbyshire.

In 1856 Henry John Hunloke 6th Baronet (age 44) died. His uncle James (age 72) succeeded 7th Baronet Hunloke of Wingerworth in Derbyshire.

In 22nd June 1856 James Hunloke 7th Baronet (age 72) died. Baronet Hunloke of Wingerworth in Derbyshire extinct.
