On 24th January 1848 Robert Newman 1st Baronet (age 71) died. His son Robert (age 25) succeeded 2nd Baronet Newman of Stokeley and Mamhead in Devon.

Poulett George Henry Somerset (age 32) fought; his horse was killed under him by a shell.
William Archer Amherst 3rd Earl Amherst (age 18) was wounded.
Hedworth Jolliffe 2nd Baron Hylton (age 25) and Edwyn Sherard Burnaby (age 24) fought.
Captain William Kent Allix (age 31) was killed in action whilst serving with the 1st Royal Regiment.
Robert Lydston Newman 2nd Baronet (age 32) was killed in action. His brother Lydston (age 30) succeeded 3rd Baronet Newman of Stokeley and Mamhead in Devon.

On 2nd November 1945 Robert Newman 1st Baron Mamhead (age 74) died unmarried. Baron Mamhead of Exeter in Devon extinct. His first cousin once removed Ralph (age 43) succeeded 5th Baronet Newman of Stokeley and Mamhead in Devon.
On 20th July 1968 Ralph Alured Newman 5th Baronet (age 66) died. His son Geoffrey (age 21) succeeded 6th Baronet Newman of Stokeley and Mamhead in Devon.
