In 1786 Admiral Joshua Rowley 1st Baronet (age 52) was created 1st Baronet Rowley of Tendring Hall in Suffolk.

In 1790 Admiral Joshua Rowley 1st Baronet (age 56) died. His son William (age 28) succeeded 2nd Baronet Rowley of Tendring Hall in Suffolk.

On 20th October 1832 William Rowley 2nd Baronet (age 71) died. His son Joshua (age 42) succeeded 3rd Baronet Rowley of Tendring Hall in Suffolk.

In 1857 Vice-Admiral Joshua Ricketts Rowley 3rd Baronet (age 67) died. His brother Charles (age 57) succeeded 4th Baronet Rowley of Tendring Hall in Suffolk.

On 8th September 1888 Charles Robert Rowley 4th Baronet (age 88) died. His son Joshua (age 50) succeeded 5th Baronet Rowley of Tendring Hall in Suffolk.

Before 23rd December 1891 Joshua Thellusson Rowley 5th Baronet (age 53) and Louisa Brownlow Lady Rowley (age 30) were married. She by marriage Lady Rowley of Tendring Hall in Suffolk. The difference in their ages was 23 years.

On 23rd April 1931 Joshua Thellusson Rowley 5th Baronet (age 93) died. His son Charles (age 39) succeeded 6th Baronet Rowley of Tendring Hall in Suffolk.

On 18th January 1962 Charles Samuel Rowley 6th Baronet (age 70) died. His son Joshua (age 41) succeeded 7th Baronet Rowley of Tendring Hall in Suffolk.

On 21st February 1997 Joshua Francis Rowley 7th Baronet (age 76) died. He was buried at St Mary's Church, Stoke-by-Nayland. His fourth cousin Charles (age 70) succeeded 8th Baronet Rowley of Tendring Hall in Suffolk.

On 11th May 2008 Charles Robert Rowley 8th and 7th Baronet (age 82) died. His son Richard (age 48) succeeded 9th Baronet Rowley of Tendring Hall in Suffolk, 8th Baronet Rowley of Hill House in Berkshire.

The Chronicle of Geoffrey le Baker of Swinbroke. Baker was a secular clerk from Swinbroke, now Swinbrook, an Oxfordshire village two miles east of Burford. His Chronicle describes the events of the period 1303-1356: Gaveston, Bannockburn, Boroughbridge, the murder of King Edward II, the Scottish Wars, Sluys, Crécy, the Black Death, Winchelsea and Poitiers. To quote Herbert Bruce 'it possesses a vigorous and characteristic style, and its value for particular events between 1303 and 1356 has been recognised by its editor and by subsequent writers'. The book provides remarkable detail about the events it describes. Baker's text has been augmented with hundreds of notes, including extracts from other contemporary chronicles, such as the Annales Londonienses, Annales Paulini, Murimuth, Lanercost, Avesbury, Guisborough and Froissart to enrich the reader's understanding. The translation takes as its source the 'Chronicon Galfridi le Baker de Swynebroke' published in 1889, edited by Edward Maunde Thompson. Available at Amazon in eBook and Paperback.
