In 1571 John Mordaunt 2nd Baron Mordaunt (age 63) died. He was buried at All Saints Church, Turvey [Map]. His son Lewis (age 32) succeeded 3rd Baron Mordaunt.
On 2nd June 1543 Ellen Fitzlewis (age 21) died. In April 1592 Joan Fermor (age 27) died.
Elizabethan Period monument with eight Doric Columns with John Mordaunt 2nd Baron Mordaunt in an elevated position with a wife either side, each lying on a rush mat. All three wearing ruffs. .

Ellen Fitzlewis: In 1522 she was born to John Fitzlewis. Before 1538 John Mordaunt 2nd Baron Mordaunt and she were married.
Joan Fermor: Around 1516 she was born to Richard Fermor and Anne Browne. After 1543 John Mordaunt 2nd Baron Mordaunt and she were married.

In or after 1582. Memorial to Elizabeth Gurdon 1565-1582 who, apparently died of a cold whilst visiting Edward Clere (age 45). Semicircular niche with leaf spandrels and modillion cornice on Ionic colonnettes containing a kneeling figure at St Andrew's Church, Blickling [Map].
St Andrew's Church, Denton [Map]. In ashlar. The latin raised letter inscription is set in an egg and dart surround, flanked by Ionic Pilasters and free standing Composite fluted columns, supporting a pediment containing a pair of naked female figures holding hour glasses leaning on a skull. The frieze is decorated with medallions. The reclining figure of the deceased, his prayer book in hand, lies on a half rolled up mattress on a tomb chest on which are portrayed his wife and six children, all named in raised letters.
