Jean de Waurin's Chronicle of England Volume 6 Books 3-6: The Wars of the Roses
Jean de Waurin was a French Chronicler, from the Artois region, who was born around 1400, and died around 1474. Waurin’s Chronicle of England, Volume 6, covering the period 1450 to 1471, from which we have selected and translated Chapters relating to the Wars of the Roses, provides a vivid, original, contemporary description of key events some of which he witnessed first-hand, some of which he was told by the key people involved with whom Waurin had a personal relationship.

Before 1610 [his father] Charles Coote 1st Baronet (age 28) and [his mother] Dorothea Cuffe were married.
Around 1610 Charles Coote 1st Earl Mountrath was born to [his father] Charles Coote 1st Baronet (age 29) and [his mother] Dorothea Cuffe.
In 1621 [his father] Charles Coote 1st Baronet (age 40) was created 1st Baronet Coote of Castle Cuffe.
Before 1630 Charles Coote 1st Earl Mountrath (age 19) and Mary Ruish were married.
Around 1630 [his son] Charles Coote 2nd Earl of Mountrath was born to Charles Coote 1st Earl Mountrath (age 20) and [his wife] Mary Ruish.
On 7th May 1642 [his father] Charles Coote 1st Baronet (age 61) was killed in Trim, County Meath during an Irish Confederacy counter-attack. His son Charles (age 32) succeeded 2nd Baronet Coote of Castle Cuffe.
In 1660 Charles Coote 1st Earl Mountrath (age 50) was created 1st Earl Mountrath.

Before 17th December 1661 Charles Coote 1st Earl Mountrath (age 51) and Jane Hannay Countess Mountraith were married. She by marriage Countess Mountrath.
On 17th December 1661 Charles Coote 1st Earl Mountrath (age 51) died of smallpox. He was buried in Christ Church Cathedral, Dublin [Map]. [his son] Charles Coote 2nd Earl of Mountrath (age 31) succeeded 2nd Earl Mountrath, 3rd Baronet Coote of Castle Cuffe.
Around 1662 Robert Reading 1st Baronet (age 22) and [his wife] Jane Hannay Countess Mountraith were married.
