Published March 2025. The Deeds of King Henry V, or in Latin Henrici Quinti, Angliæ Regis, Gesta, is a first-hand account of the Agincourt Campaign, and subsequent events to his death in 1422. The author of the first part was a Chaplain in King Henry's retinue who was present from King Henry's departure at Southampton in 1415, at the siege of Harfleur, the battle of Agincourt, and the celebrations on King Henry's return to London. The second part, by another writer, relates the events that took place including the negotiations at Troye, Henry's marriage and his death in 1422.

On 18 Apr 1475 [his step-son] Ralph Neville 3rd Earl of Westmoreland (age 19) was appointed Knight of the Bath.

In Sep 1475 [his brother-in-law] Henry Holland 3rd Duke Exeter (age 45) drowned on his return from France having probably been thrown over-board on the orders of King Edward IV of England (age 33).

Battle of Lochmaben Fair

On 22 Jul 1484 William Douglas 4th Lord Drumlanrig was killed during the Battle of Lochmaben Fair. Note. Some sources report this as the Battle of Kirtie on 02 Jul 1484?

James Douglas 9th Earl Douglas 3rd Earl Avondale (age 58) was captured.

On 03 Nov 1484 Ralph Neville 2nd Earl of Westmoreland (age 78) died. He was buried at St Brandon's Church, Brancepeth. His nephew [his step-son] Ralph (age 28) succeeded 3rd Earl of Westmoreland.

On 26 Dec 1486 [his wife] Anne Holland Countess Douglas and Avondale died.

In 1488 James Douglas 9th Earl Douglas 3rd Earl Avondale (age 62) died at Lindores Abbey, Newburgh.
