In 1673 Colin Lindsay 3rd Earl Balcarres (age 20) and Jean Carnegie Countess Balcarres were married by which he incurred the king's displeasure and was forbidden to appear at court. After 1679 Colin Lindsay 3rd Earl Balcarres (age 26) and Jean Ker Countess Balcarres were married. She by marriage Countess Balcarres. She the daughter of William Ker 2nd Earl Roxburghe and Jane Ker Countess Roxburgh. He the son of Andrew Lindsay 1st Earl Balcarres. They were second cousin once removed.

Before 1720 Colin Lindsay 3rd Earl Balcarres (age 67) and Margaret Campbell Countess Balcarres were married. She by marriage Countess Balcarres. She the daughter of James Campbell 2nd Earl Loudon and Margaret Montgomerie. He the son of Andrew Lindsay 1st Earl Balcarres. They were third cousin once removed.

In 1722 Colin Lindsay 3rd Earl Balcarres (age 69) died. His son Alexander succeeded 4th Earl Balcarres.

On 25th July 1756 Alexander Lindsay 4th Earl Balcarres died. His brother James (age 64) succeeded 5th Earl Balcarres. Anne Dalrymple Countess Balcarres (age 29) by marriage Countess Balcarres.

On 20th February 1768 James Lindsay 5th Earl Balcarres (age 76) died. His son Alexander (age 16) succeeded 6th Earl Balcarres.

The Deeds of King Henry V, or in Latin Henrici Quinti, Angliæ Regis, Gesta, is a first-hand account of the Agincourt Campaign, and subsequent events to his death in 1422. The author of the first part was a Chaplain in King Henry's retinue who was present from King Henry's departure at Southampton in 1415, at the siege of Harfleur, the battle of Agincourt, and the celebrations on King Henry's return to London. The second part, by another writer, relates the events that took place including the negotiations at Troye, Henry's marriage and his death in 1422.

On 13th December 1880 Alexander Lindsay 8th Earl Balcarres 25th Earl of Crawford (age 68) died. His son James (age 33) succeeded 26th Earl Crawford, 9th Earl Balcarres.

On 25th January 1900 David Lindsay 27th Earl of Crawford 10th Earl Balcarres (age 28) and Constance Lilian Pelly Countess Crawford and Balcarres were married at St Margaret's Church, Westminster [Map]. She by marriage Countess Crawford and Countess Balcarres. He the son of James Ludovic Lindsay 26th Earl of Crawford 9th Earl of Balcarrie (age 52).

On 31st January 1913 James Ludovic Lindsay 26th Earl of Crawford 9th Earl of Balcarrie (age 65) died. His son David (age 41) succeeded 27th Earl Crawford, 10th Earl Balcarres.

On 8th March 1940 David Lindsay 27th Earl of Crawford 10th Earl Balcarres (age 68) died. His son David (age 39) succeeded 28th Earl Crawford, 11th Earl Balcarres. Mary Katherine Cavendish Countess of Crawford and Balcarres by marriage Countess Crawford, Countess Balcarres.
