On 10th August 1891 Beatrice Edith Mildred Gascoyne-Cecil Baroness Harlech was born to James Gascoyne-Cecil 4th Marquess Salisbury (age 29) and Cicely Anne Gore Marchioness Salisbury (age 24).
On 26th June 1904 William Richard Ormsby-Gore 2nd Baron Harlech (age 85) died. His son [her future father-in-law] Ralph (age 49) succeeded 3rd Baron Harlech. Beatrice Edith Mildred Gascoyne-Cecil Baroness Harlech (age 12) by marriage Baroness Harlech.

The funeral of the Earl of Leven and Melville [John Leslie-Melville 12th Earl of Leven 11th Earl of Melville (deceased)], who died last week in London from injuries received in an accident in the hunting field, took place in Scotland to-day. A memorial service was held at St. Mary's Church, Bryanston-square, W., this afternoon. Among the congregation were the Duke and Duchess of Somerset, the Marchioness of Salisbury and Lady Beatrice Ormsby-Gore (age 21), the Countess of Strathmore (age 50) and Lady Rose Bowes-Lyon (age 23), the Countess of Desart (age 59), Countess Waldegrave (age 63), the Countess of Dartrey (age 51), the Earl (age 61) and Countess (age 59) of Verulam, Viscount Althorp (age 21) and Lady Adelaide Spencer (age 24), Viscount De Vesci (age 31), Captain and Lady Nina Balfour, the Dowager Lady Leaconfield, Viscount Maidstone, and Lord Reay.
On 20th May 1918 [her son] William David Ormsby-Gore 5th Baron Harlech was born to [her husband] George Arthur Ormsby-Gore 4th Baron Harlech (age 33) and Beatrice Edith Mildred Gascoyne-Cecil Baroness Harlech (age 26).
On 4th January 1921 [her daughter] Katharine Margaret Alice Ormsby-Gore was born to [her husband] George Arthur Ormsby-Gore 4th Baron Harlech (age 35) and Beatrice Edith Mildred Gascoyne-Cecil Baroness Harlech (age 29).

On 9th February 1940 [her son] William David Ormsby-Gore 5th Baron Harlech (age 21) and [her daughter-in-law] Sylvia Thomas Baroness Harlech were married.
On 22nd August 1942 [her son-in-law] Maurice Victor Macmillan (age 21) and [her daughter] Katharine Margaret Alice Ormsby-Gore (age 21) were married. He the son of Harold Macmillan 1st Earl Stockton (age 48) and Dorothy Evelyn Cavendish (age 42). They were half sixth cousins.
On 4th April 1947 [her father] James Gascoyne-Cecil 4th Marquess Salisbury (age 85) died. His son [her brother] Robert (age 53) succeeded 5th Marquess Salisbury in Wiltshire, 11th Earl Salisbury. Elizabeth Vere Cavendish Marchioness Salisbury (age 52) by marriage Marchioness Salisbury in Wiltshire.

The Chronicle of Walter of Guisborough, a canon regular of the Augustinian Guisborough Priory, Yorkshire, formerly known as The Chronicle of Walter of Hemingburgh, describes the period from 1066 to 1346. Before 1274 the Chronicle is based on other works. Thereafter, the Chronicle is original, and a remarkable source for the events of the time. This book provides a translation of the Chronicle from that date. The Latin source for our translation is the 1849 work edited by Hans Claude Hamilton. Hamilton, in his preface, says: "In the present work we behold perhaps one of the finest samples of our early chronicles, both as regards the value of the events recorded, and the correctness with which they are detailed; Nor will the pleasing style of composition be lightly passed over by those capable of seeing reflected from it the tokens of a vigorous and cultivated mind, and a favourable specimen of the learning and taste of the age in which it was framed." In 1980 Beatrice Edith Mildred Gascoyne-Cecil Baroness Harlech (age 88) died.
