Margaret Douglas-Maclean-Clephane Marchioness Northampton: On 13 Dec 1791 she was born to Major-General William Douglas-Maclean-Clephane. On 24 Jul 1815 Spencer Compton 2nd Marquess Northampton and she were married. He the son of Charles Compton 1st Marquess Northampton. On 24 May 1828 Charles Compton 1st Marquess Northampton died. His son Spencer Compton 2nd Marquess Northampton succeeded 2nd Marquess Northampton, 10th Earl of Northampton, 2nd Earl Compton of Compton in Warwickshire, 2nd Baron Wilmington of Wilmington in Sussex. She by marriage Marchioness Northampton.
On 17 Jan 1851 [his father] Spencer Compton 2nd Marquess Northampton (age 61) died. He was buried at Church of St Mary Magdalen, Castle Ashby [Map]. His son [his brother] Charles Compton 3rd Marquess Northampton (age 35) succeeded 3rd Marquess Northampton, 11th Earl of Northampton, 3rd Earl Compton of Compton in Warwickshire, 3rd Baron Wilmington of Wilmington in Sussex.
In 1879 Bishop Alwyne Compton (age 54) was appointed Dean Worcester.
In 1882 Bishop Alwyne Compton (age 57) was appointed Lord High Almoner.
In 1886 Bishop Alwyne Compton (age 61) was appointed Bishop of Ely.
In 1906 Bishop Alwyne Compton (age 81) died.
