On 11 Jan 1825 Thomas Fermor-Hesketh 5th Baronet was born to Thomas Hesketh 4th Baronet (age 25).

On 27 Jul 1842 [his grandfather] Thomas Dalrymple Hesketh 3rd Baronet (age 65) died. His son [his father] Thomas Hesketh 4th Baronet (age 43) succeeded 4th Baronet Hesketh of Rufford in Lancashire.

On 10 Feb 1843 [his father] Thomas Hesketh 4th Baronet (age 43) died. His son Thomas Fermor-Hesketh 5th Baronet (age 18) succeeded 5th Baronet Fermor-Hesketh of Rufford in Lancashire.

In 1846 Thomas Fermor-Hesketh 5th Baronet (age 20) and Anna Maria Arabella Fermor (age 18) were married. She the daughter of Thomas Fermor 4th Earl Pomfret.

In 1847 [his son] Thomas Henry Fermor-Hesketh 6th Baronet was born to Thomas Fermor-Hesketh 5th Baronet (age 21) and [his wife] Anna Maria Arabella Fermor (age 19).

On 09 May 1849 [his son] Thomas George Fermor-Hesketh 7th Baronet was born to Thomas Fermor-Hesketh 5th Baronet (age 24) and [his wife] Anna Maria Arabella Fermor (age 21).

In 1862 Thomas Fermor-Hesketh 5th Baronet (age 36) was elected MP Preston. He held the seat until his death.

In 1868 Thomas Fermor-Hesketh 5th Baronet (age 42) adopted the additional name Fermor.

In 1870 [his wife] Anna Maria Arabella Fermor (age 42) died.

On 20 Aug 1872 Thomas Fermor-Hesketh 5th Baronet (age 47) died. His son [his son] Thomas Henry Fermor-Hesketh 6th Baronet (age 25) succeeded 6th Baronet Fermor-Hesketh of Rufford in Lancashire.

Various monuments, mostly from previous chapel and church on this site, including: a small brass of a knight, Sir Robert Hesketh (d.1541) (on north wall of chapel); a large monumental slab of alabaster portraying Thomas Hesketh of Rufford (d.1463) and Margaret his wife, with their children and Hesketh coat of arms at their feet, and lettering round the margin including names; a large table monument with effigy of Sir Thomas Fermor-Hesketh 5th Baronet by Matthew Noble; at east end of south aisle a wall monument to Lady Sophia Hesketh (d.1817), by Flaxman, copiously lettered, and on north wall a tablet to Sir Thomas Hesketh (d.1778), with a verse by the poet Cowper.
