In 1838 [his uncle] John Smijth 9th Baronet (age 56) died. His brother [his father] Edward Bowyer-Smijth 10th Baronet (age 52) succeeded 10th Baronet Smith of Hill Hall in Essex.
On 02 Apr 1839 William Bowyer-Smijth 11th Baronet (age 24) and Marianne Frances Meux Lady Bowyer-Smijth were married. They had two sons and a daughter.
On 01 Sep 1840 [his son] William Bowyer-Smijth 12th Baronet was born to William Bowyer-Smijth 11th Baronet (age 26) and [his wife] Marianne Frances Meux Lady Bowyer-Smijth.

She the daughter of Ernest Brudenell-Bruce 3rd Marquess Ailesbury (age 45) and Louisa Elizabeth Horsley Beresford Marchioness Ailesbury (age 41).
Before 1865 Richard Arabin (age 53) and [his sister-in-law] Elizabeth Mary Meux (age 45) were married. They were first cousins.
On 19 Mar 1875 [his wife] Marianne Frances Meux Lady Bowyer-Smijth died. Her widower William Bowyer-Smijth 11th Baronet (age 60) remarried a week later his second bigamous wife [his wife] Eliza Fechnie Malcolm.
