William Mandeville 3rd Earl Essex Count Aumale was born to Geoffrey Mandeville 1st Earl Essex and Rohese Vere Countess Essex and Hertford.

In 1139 [his father] Geoffrey Mandeville 1st Earl Essex was created 1st Earl Essex. [his mother] Rohese Vere Countess Essex and Hertford (age 29) by marriage Countess Essex.

Coronation of Richard I
