The King has been pleased to grant the Dignities of Baron and Earl of the Kingdom of Great Britain to Sir John Jervis (age 62), KB Admiral of the Blue, and the Heirs Male of his Body lawfully begotten, by the Name, Stile and Title of Baron Jervis, of Medsord in the County of Stafford, and Earl of St Vincent.

On 13 Mar 1823 John Jervis 1st Earl St Vincent (age 88) died. Earl of St Vincent and Baron Jervis of Medsford in Staffordshire extinct. His nephew Edward Jervis Ricketts aka Jervis 2nd Viscount St Vincent (age 55) succeeded 2nd Viscount St Vincent of Meaford in Staffordshire.
