Biography of Humphrey Llwyd aka Lluyd 1527-1568

In 1527 Humphrey Llwyd aka Lluyd was born to Robert Llwyd and Jane Piggot.

In 1547 [his future brother-in-law] John Lumley 1st Baron Lumley (age 14) was created 1st Baron Lumley.

Around 1552 [his future brother-in-law] John Lumley 1st Baron Lumley (age 19) and Jane Fitzalan Baroness Lumley (age 15) were married. She by marriage Baroness Lumley. She the daughter of Henry Fitzalan 19th Earl Arundel (age 39) and Katherine Grey. They were third cousin once removed. He a great x 3 grandson of King Edward IV of England.

In 1559 Humphrey Llwyd aka Lluyd (age 32) was elected MP East Grinstead.

In 1563 Humphrey Llwyd aka Lluyd (age 36) lived at Denbigh Castle by permission of Sir John Salusbury (age 44) [Note. Some sources say Richard Myddelton (age 54)] who was then the Lord of the Manor of Denbigh.

In 1567 Humphrey Llwyd aka Lluyd (age 40) was commissioned by the Crown to produce a map of Wales.

On 31 Aug 1568 Humphrey Llwyd aka Lluyd (age 41) died. He was buried at St Marcella's Church, Denbigh [Map]. Victorian Monument to Humphrey Llwyd 1527-1568. Prie-Dieu.
