In 1758 [his father] Spencer Compton 8th Earl of Northampton (age 19) and [his mother] Jane Lawton Countess Northampton were married.
On 24th March 1760 Charles Compton 1st was born to [his father] Spencer Compton 8th Earl of Northampton (age 21) and [his mother] Jane Lawton Countess Northampton.
On 18th October 1763 [his uncle] Charles Compton 7th Earl of Northampton (age 26) died. His brother [his father] Spencer (age 25) succeeded 8th Earl of Northampton. [his mother] Jane Lawton Countess Northampton by marriage Countess of Northampton.
On 26th November 1767 [his mother] Jane Lawton Countess Northampton died.
On 18th August 1787 Charles Compton 1st (age 27) and Maria Smith Marchioness Northampton (age 21) were married. He the son of Spencer Compton 8th Earl of Northampton (age 49) and Jane Lawton Countess Northampton.
On 2nd January 1790 [his son] Spencer Compton 2nd Marquess Northampton was born to Charles Compton 1st (age 29). He married 24th June 1815 Margaret Douglas-Maclean-Clephane Marchioness Northampton and had issue.
On 7th April 1796 [his father] Spencer Compton 8th Earl of Northampton (age 57) died. His son Charles (age 36) succeeded 9th Earl of Northampton. [his wife] Maria Smith Marchioness Northampton (age 30) by marriage Countess of Northampton.
In 1812 Charles Compton 1st (age 51) was created 1st Marquess Northampton, 1st Earl Compton of Compton in Warwickshire, 1st Baron Wilmington of Wilmington in Sussex. [his wife] Maria Smith Marchioness Northampton (age 46) by marriage Marchioness Northampton.
On 24th June 1815 [his son] Spencer Compton 2nd Marquess Northampton (age 25) and [his daughter-in-law] Margaret Douglas-Maclean-Clephane Marchioness Northampton (age 23) were married. He the son of Charles Compton 1st Marquess Northampton (age 55).
On 24th May 1828 Charles Compton 1st (age 68) died. His son Spencer (age 38) succeeded 2nd Marquess Northampton, 10th Earl of Northampton, 2nd Earl Compton of Compton in Warwickshire, 2nd Baron Wilmington of Wilmington in Sussex. [his daughter-in-law] Margaret Douglas-Maclean-Clephane Marchioness Northampton (age 36) by marriage Marchioness Northampton.

In 1536, two weeks after the execution of Anne Boleyn, her brother George and four others, Lancelot du Carle, wrote an extraordinary letter that described Anne's life, and her trial and execution, to which he was a witness. Jane Lawton Countess Northampton: In 1758 Spencer Compton 8th Earl of Northampton and she were married. On 18th October 1763 Charles Compton 7th Earl of Northampton died. His brother Spencer succeeded 8th Earl of Northampton. She by marriage Countess of Northampton. On 26th November 1767 she died.
