Biography of Frank Bernard Dicksee 1853-1928

On 25th December 1850 [his father] Thomas Francis Dicksee (age 31) and [his mother] Eliza Bernard (age 24) were married at St James' Church, Piccadilly. His address given as 23 Howland Street, Fitzroy Square, hers as 4 Church Place.

Eliza Bernard: Around 1826 she was born to John Bernard. He, John, a Turner and Dishing Tackle Manufacturer according to her marriage certificate. In 1879 she died.

On 27th November 1853 Frank Bernard Dicksee was born to Thomas Francis Dicksee (age 33) and Eliza Bernard (age 27). His middle name being his mother's maiden name.

In 1879 [his mother] Eliza Bernard (age 53) died.

On 6th November 1895 [his father] Thomas Francis Dicksee (age 75) died.

Alice Marion Harbord Baroness Hillingdon: On 23rd June 1857 she was born to Charles Harbord 5th Baron Suffield and Cecilia Annetta Baring Baroness Suffield. In 1886 Charles Mills 2nd Baron Hillingdon and she were married. They were half fourth cousin once removed. On 3rd April 1898 Charles Mills 1st Baron Hillingdon died. His son Charles succeeded 2nd Baron Hillingdon, 3rd Baronet Mills of Hillingdon. She by marriage Baroness Hillingdon. In 1940 Alice Marion Harbord Baroness Hillingdon died.

Charlotte Mary Emily Nugent Dunbar: In 1865 she was born to Robert Nugent Dunbar. On 2nd April 1891 James Cleland Burns 3rd Baron Inverclyde of Castle Wemyss and she were married. In 1951 she died.

Marie Clothilde Russell: she was born to George Russell 4th Baronet and Constance Charlotte Lennox. In July 1903 Arthur Ernest Guinness and she were married at St George's Church, Hanover Square. He the son of Edward Guiness 1st Earl Iveagh and Adelaide "Dodo" Guinness. In 1953 she died.

Lavinia Lyttelton: On 10th October 1849 she was born to George William Lyttelton 4th Baron Lyttelton and Mary Glynne Lady Lyttelton. On 29th June 1870 Bishop Edward Stuart Talbot and she were married. In 1878 Bishop Edward Stuart Talbot and Lavinia Lyttelton founded Lady Margaret Hall, Oxford University. In 1939 Lavinia Lyttelton died.

In 1924 Frank Bernard Dicksee (age 70) was appointed President of the Royal Academy.

In 1925 Frank Bernard Dicksee (age 71) was knighted.

Edith Fitton nee Deamer: Thomas Fitton and she were married. In 1873 she was born. In 1953 she died.
