Jean de Waurin was a French Chronicler, from the Artois region, who was born around 1400, and died around 1474. Waurin’s Chronicle of England, Volume 6, covering the period 1450 to 1471, from which we have selected and translated Chapters relating to the Wars of the Roses, provides a vivid, original, contemporary description of key events some of which he witnessed first-hand, some of which he was told by the key people involved with whom Waurin had a personal relationship.

Biography of William Thomas 1st Baronet 1641-1706

On 29th July 1641 William Thomas 1st Baronet was born.

On 23rd July 1660 William Thomas 1st Baronet [aged 18] was created 1st Baronet Thomas of Folkington in Sussex.

In 1661 William Thomas 1st Baronet [aged 19] was elected MP Seaford which seat he held until 1681.

In 1681 William Thomas 1st Baronet [aged 39] was elected MP Sussex.

Before 18th November 1706 William Thomas 1st Baronet [aged 65] and Barbara Springet were married.

On 18th November 1706 William Thomas 1st Baronet [aged 65] died. Baronet Thomas of Folkington in Sussex extinct.
