Jean de Waurin's Chronicle of England Volume 6 Books 3-6: The Wars of the Roses

Jean de Waurin was a French Chronicler, from the Artois region, who was born around 1400, and died around 1474. Waurin’s Chronicle of England, Volume 6, covering the period 1450 to 1471, from which we have selected and translated Chapters relating to the Wars of the Roses, provides a vivid, original, contemporary description of key events some of which he witnessed first-hand, some of which he was told by the key people involved with whom Waurin had a personal relationship.

Biography of Christian Fredericke Zincke 1683-1767

In 1683 or 1685 Christian Fredericke Zincke was born at Dresden.

Elizabeth Foley: After 1st January 1743 she was born to Thomas Foley 1st Baron Foley and Grace Granville. On 13th October 1776 Elizabeth Foley died.

Charleton Tilson Lady Deane: In 1718 she was born to Thomas Tilson. On 24th August 1738 Robert Deane 2nd Baronet and she were married.

Elizabeth Crew Countess Arran: Bishop John Hinchliffe and she were married. The difference in their ages was 52 years; she, unusually, being older than him. In 1679 she was born to Thomas Crew 2nd Baron Crew and Anne Armine. On 3rd June 1705 or 18th September 1721 Charles Butler 3rd Duke Ormond and she were married. She by marriage Countess Arran. He the son of Thomas Butler 6th Earl Ossory and Emilia Nassau Beverweert Countess Ossory. In 21st May 1756 Elizabeth Crew Countess Arran died.

In 24th March 1767 Christian Fredericke Zincke [aged 84] died at Lambeth, Surrey [Map].
