Chronicle of Geoffrey le Baker of Swinbroke
Baker was a secular clerk from Swinbroke, now Swinbrook, an Oxfordshire village two miles east of Burford. His Chronicle describes the events of the period 1303-1356: Gaveston, Bannockburn, Boroughbridge, the murder of King Edward II, the Scottish Wars, Sluys, Crécy, the Black Death, Winchelsea and Poitiers. To quote Herbert Bruce 'it possesses a vigorous and characteristic style, and its value for particular events between 1303 and 1356 has been recognised by its editor and by subsequent writers'. The book provides remarkable detail about the events it describes. Baker's text has been augmented with hundreds of notes, including extracts from other contemporary chronicles, such as the Annales Londonienses, Annales Paulini, Murimuth, Lanercost, Avesbury, Guisborough and Froissart to enrich the reader's understanding. The translation takes as its source the 'Chronicon Galfridi le Baker de Swynebroke' published in 1889, edited by Edward Maunde Thompson.

On 28th September 1796 Caroline Amalie Oldenburg Queen Norway was born to [her father] Frederick Christian Oldenburg II Duke Schleswig Holstein Sonderburg Augustenburg (age 31) and [her mother] Louise Auguste Oldenburg Duchess Schleswig Holstein Sonderburg Augustenburg (age 25) at Copenhagen. She a great x 2 granddaughter of King George II of Great Britain and Ireland.
On 21st June 1806 [her future husband] King Christian I of Norway and VIII of Denmark (age 19) and Duchess Charlotte Frederica of Mecklenburg-Schwerin (age 21) were married. They were first cousins.
In 1810 [her future husband] King Christian I of Norway and VIII of Denmark (age 23) and Duchess Charlotte Frederica of Mecklenburg-Schwerin (age 25) were divorced after her alleged affair with her singing teacher Édouard Du Puy. She was exiled; she never saw her one year old son again.
In 1814 [her future husband] King Christian I of Norway and VIII of Denmark (age 27) succeeded I King Norway.
On 14th June 1814 [her father] Frederick Christian Oldenburg II Duke Schleswig Holstein Sonderburg Augustenburg (age 48) died at Augustenborg, Als Island. His son [her brother] Christian (age 15) succeeded Aug II Duke Schleswig Holstein Sonderburg Augustenburg.
In 1815 King Christian I of Norway and VIII of Denmark (age 28) and Caroline Amalie Oldenburg Queen Norway (age 18) were married. She by marriage Queen Consort Norway. She the daughter of Frederick Christian Oldenburg II Duke Schleswig Holstein Sonderburg Augustenburg and Louise Auguste Oldenburg Duchess Schleswig Holstein Sonderburg Augustenburg (age 43). They were half first cousin once removed. She a great x 2 granddaughter of King George II of Great Britain and Ireland.
Jean de Waurin's Chronicle of England Volume 6 Books 3-6: The Wars of the Roses
Jean de Waurin was a French Chronicler, from the Artois region, who was born around 1400, and died around 1474. Waurin’s Chronicle of England, Volume 6, covering the period 1450 to 1471, from which we have selected and translated Chapters relating to the Wars of the Roses, provides a vivid, original, contemporary description of key events some of which he witnessed first-hand, some of which he was told by the key people involved with whom Waurin had a personal relationship.

On 13th January 1843 [her mother] Louise Auguste Oldenburg Duchess Schleswig Holstein Sonderburg Augustenburg (age 71) died.
On 20th January 1848 [her husband] King Christian I of Norway and VIII of Denmark (age 61) died. His son [her step-son] Frederick (age 39) succeeded VII King of Denmark.
On 11th March 1869 [her brother] Christian August Oldenburg II Duke Schleswig Holstein Sonderburg Augustenburg (age 70) died. His son [her nephew] Frederick (age 39) succeeded II Duke Schleswig Holstein Sonderburg Augustenburg.
On 9th March 1881 Caroline Amalie Oldenburg Queen Norway (age 84) died.
