On 2nd February 1770 George Gordon 5th was born to [his father] Alexander Gordon 4th Duke Gordon (age 26).

On 9th September 1789 [his brother-in-law] Charles Lennox 4th Duke Richmond (age 25) and [his half-sister] Charlotte Gordon Duchess Richmond (age 20) were married at Gordon Castle, Fochabers. She the daughter of [his father] Alexander Gordon 4th Duke Gordon (age 46) and [his step-mother] Jane Maxwell Duchess Gordon (age 41). They were sixth cousins. He a great x 2 grandson of King Charles II of England Scotland and Ireland.
On 7th October 1793 [his brother-in-law] William Montagu 5th Duke Manchester (age 21) and [his half-sister] Susan Gordon Duchess Manchester were married at Edinburgh. She by marriage Duchess Manchester. She the daughter of [his father] Alexander Gordon 4th Duke Gordon (age 50) and [his step-mother] Jane Maxwell Duchess Gordon (age 45). He the son of George Montagu 4th Duke Manchester and Elizabeth Dashwood Duchess Manchester (age 53).
On 17th April 1795 [his brother-in-law] Charles Cornwallis 2nd Marquess Cornwallis (age 20) and [his half-sister] Louisa Gordon Marchioness Cornwallis (age 18) were married. She the daughter of [his father] Alexander Gordon 4th Duke Gordon (age 51) and [his step-mother] Jane Maxwell Duchess Gordon (age 47). He the son of Charles Cornwallis 1st Marquess Cornwallis (age 56) and Jemima Tullekin Jones Countess Cornwallis.
On 23rd June 1803 [his brother-in-law] John Russell 6th Duke Bedford (age 36) and [his half-sister] Georgiana Gordon Duchess Bedford (age 21) were married. She by marriage Duchess Bedford. She the daughter of [his father] Alexander Gordon 4th Duke Gordon (age 60) and [his step-mother] Jane Maxwell Duchess Gordon (age 55). They were sixth cousins. He a great x 2 grandson of King Charles II of England Scotland and Ireland.
On 5th October 1805 Charles Cornwallis 1st Marquess Cornwallis (age 66) died at Gauspur, Ghazipur. His son [his brother-in-law] Charles (age 30) succeeded 2nd Marquess Cornwallis, 3rd Earl Cornwallis, 7th Baron Cornwallis. [his half-sister] Louisa Gordon Marchioness Cornwallis (age 28) by marriage Marchioness Cornwallis.
On 29th December 1806 Charles Lennox 3rd Duke Richmond (age 71) died at Goodwood West Sussex. He was buried at Chichester Cathedral [Map]. His nephew [his brother-in-law] Charles (age 42) succeeded 4th Duke Richmond, 4th Earl March, 4th Baron Settrington. [his half-sister] Charlotte Gordon Duchess Richmond (age 38) by marriage Duchess Richmond.
On 11th December 1813 George Gordon 5th (age 43) and Elizabeth Brodie Duchess Gordon (age 19) were married. She brought £100,000 to the marriage and inherited more then £100,000 when her father died. The difference in their ages was 24 years. He the son of Alexander Gordon 4th Duke Gordon (age 70).
On 22nd June 1819 Mary Anastasia Grace Mordaunt 11th Baroness Mordaunt (age 80) died. Her second cousin [his father] Alexander (age 76) succeeded 12th Baron Mordaunt.
On 17th June 1827 [his father] Alexander Gordon 4th Duke Gordon (age 83) died. His son George (age 57) succeeded 5th Duke Gordon, 8th Marquess Huntly, 13th Earl Huntley, 13th Baron Mordaunt. [his wife] Elizabeth Brodie Duchess Gordon (age 32) by marriage Duchess Gordon.
On 26th August 1828 [his half-sister] Susan Gordon Duchess Manchester died.

On 28th May 1836 George Gordon 5th (age 66) died without legitimate issue at Belgrave Square, Belgravia. Duke Gordon, Baron Mordaunt extinct. His fourth cousin once removed George (age 74) succeeded 9th Marquess Huntly, 14th Earl Huntley.
