There are numerous inscriptiona in honour of the dead; the most considerable of which is a gravestone near to the altar in memory of Sir Richard Gipps, who resided at Little Horringer Hall [Map], and received the honor of Knighthood from Charles the Second, in 1676, during one of the visits of "the merry monarch" to "the mad-cap Croftes" at Little Saxham Hall. There is a mural tablet to Dame Elizabeth his widow, daughter of Sir Edmund Foley, Kt. ob. 1715; and a small brass plate on a gravestone within the altar-rails to Mary Lucas, of Horsecroft, 1618.
