Viscount Tredegar of Tredegar in Monmouthshire

The King has been pleased, by Letters Patent under the Great Seal of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, to confer the dignity of a Viscount of the said United Kingdom upon Godfrey Charles, Baron Tradegar [aged 74], and the heirs male of his body lawfully begotten, by the name, style, and title of Viscount Tredegar of Tredegar in the county of Monmouth.

On 11th March 1913 Godfrey Morgan 1st Viscount Tredegar [aged 81] died unmarried. He was buried at St Basil's Church, Bassaleg. Viscount Tredegar of Tredegar in Monmouthshire extinct. His nephew Courtenay [aged 45] succeeded 3rd Baron Tredegar of Tredegar in Monmouthshire, 5th Baronet Morgan of Tredegar.

In 1926 Courtenay Morgan 1st Viscount Tredegar [aged 58] was created 1st Viscount Tredegar. Katherine Agnes Blanche Carnegie Viscountess Tredegar [aged 59] by marriage Viscountess Tredegar.

On 3rd May 1934 Courtenay Morgan 1st Viscount Tredegar [aged 67] died at the Ritz Hotel. His son Evan [aged 40] succeeded 2nd Viscount Tredegar, 4th Baron Tredegar of Tredegar in Monmouthshire, 6th Baronet Morgan of Tredegar.

On 27th April 1949 Evan Morgan 2nd Viscount Tredegar [aged 55] died without issue. Viscount Tredegar extinct. His uncle Frederick [aged 75] succeeded 5th Baron Tredegar of Tredegar in Monmouthshire, 7th Baronet Morgan of Tredegar.
