On 10th May 1661 George Cooke 1st Baronet [aged 29] was created 1st Baronet Cooke of Wheatley Hall in Yorkshire in recognition of his father's services during the Civil War and with a special remainder to his younger brother Henry Cooke 2nd Baronet [aged 27].

On 19th June 1683 George Cooke 3rd Baronet [aged 21] and Catherine Copley Lady Cooke were married. She by marriage Lady Cooke of Wheatley Hall in Yorkshire.

On 16th October 1683 George Cooke 1st Baronet [aged 51] died unmarried. His brother Henry [aged 49] succeeded 2nd Baronet Cooke of Wheatley Hall in Yorkshire.

In 1769 Bryan Cooke 6th Baronet died. His son George succeeded 7th Baronet Cooke of Wheatley Hall in Yorkshire.
