On 31st October 1903 Gyles Isham 12th Baronet was born to Vere Isham 11th Baronet [aged 41] at Lamport, Northamptonshire.

In or before 1926 Gyles Isham 12th Baronet [aged 22] was admitted to Magdalen College, Oxford University. He was President of the Oxford Union in 1926. Graduated MA in 1930.

In 1940 Gyles Isham 12th Baronet [aged 36] was commissioned as an officer into the King's Royal Rifle Corps and served in Libya in the Western Desert Campaign, by 1943 reaching the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel.

On 11th February 1941 [his father] Vere Isham 11th Baronet [aged 78] died. His son Gyles [aged 37] succeeded 12th Baronet Isham of Lamport in Northamptonshire.

In 1952 Gyles Isham 12th Baronet [aged 48] was appointed Deputy Lieutenant of Northamptonshire.

In 1958 Gyles Isham 12th Baronet [aged 54] was appointed High Sheriff of Northamptonshire.

In 1964 Gyles Isham 12th Baronet [aged 60] was appointed Trustee of the National Portrait Gallery.

Between 1968 and 1976 Gyles Isham 12th Baronet [aged 64] served as President of the Association of Genealogists.

On 29th January 1976 Gyles Isham 12th Baronet [aged 72] died without issue. His third cousin once removed Ian [aged 52] succeeded 13th Baronet Isham of Lamport in Northamptonshire.
