In or before 1485 [his father] Edward Cheeseman and [his mother] Joan Lawrence of Lancashire were married.
In 1485 Robert Cheeseman was born to Edward Cheeseman and Joan Lawrence of Lancashire.
In 1509 [his father] Edward Cheeseman died. His will was proved in November 1510, and he left extensive landholdings in Middlesex and Kent to his son. These included in Middlesex the manor and mansion house of Dormanswell in Southall, together with the manor of Southall which he had bought in 1496, and the manor of Norwood, together with the manors of Osterley and of Wyke. In Kent, he left land at Sundridge, Chevening, and Lewisham.

In 1536 [his mother] Joan Lawrence of Lancashire died.
On 28th April 1537 Robert Cheeseman [aged 52] was elected MP Middlesex which seat he held until 24th July 1540.
In 1538 Robert Cheeseman [aged 53] was on the Grand Jury at the trials of Geoffrey Pole [aged 37].
In 1541 Robert Cheeseman [aged 56] was on the Grand Jury at the trials of Thomas Culpeper and Francis Dereham for treason.
In 1547 Robert Cheeseman [aged 62] died.
