On 10th September 1810 Matthew Henry Marsh was born to Reverend Matthew Marsh and Margaret Brodie.
In 1833 Matthew Henry Marsh [aged 22] was awarded BA and in 1835 MA by Christ Church College, Oxford University.
On 24th June 1840 Matthew Henry Marsh [aged 29] sailed to Sydney on the Broxbournebury arriving on 24 September. There he purchased a 340,000 acre pastoral run in New England which he called Salisbury Plains, a 175,000 acre run called Boorolong, and a 200,000 acre run called Maryland on the Darling Downs (then part of New South Wales, but subsequently part of Queensland).
On 25th July 1844 Matthew Henry Marsh [aged 33] and Eliza Mary Ann Merewether were married at Calne, Wiltshire.
In 1845 [his daughter] Georgiana Marsh Lady Croft was born to Matthew Henry Marsh [aged 34] and [his wife] Eliza Mary Ann Merewether. She married 10th January 1865 Herbert George Denman Croft 9th Baronet, son of Archer Denman Croft 8th Baronet, and had issue.
In 1857 Matthew Henry Marsh [aged 46] was elected MP Salisbury.
On 10th January 1865 [his son-in-law] Herbert George Denman Croft 9th Baronet [aged 26] and [his daughter] Georgiana Marsh Lady Croft [aged 20] were married. The same day his father Archer Denman Croft 8th Baronet [aged 63] died.
On 26th January 1881 Matthew Henry Marsh [aged 70] died at Bournemouth, Dorset [Map].
