She the daughter of Philip "Infamous Earl" Herbert 7th Earl Pembroke 4th Earl Montgomery and Henrietta Kéroualle Countess Pembroke and Montgomery. He the son of Thomas Hickman Windsor 1st Earl Plymouth and Ursula Widdrington Countess Plymouth (age 55). They were half fourth cousins.

On 08 Jun 1738 Thomas Windsor 1st Viscount Windsor (age 68) died. His son Herbert Windsor 2nd Viscount Windsor succeeded 2nd Viscount Windsor. Alice Clavering Viscountess Windsor by marriage Viscountess Windsor.
