In 1580 William Coryton was born to Peter Coryton of Coryton and Jane aka Joan Wrey.

In 1613 William Coryton (age 33) was appointed High Sheriff of Cornwall.
In or before 1615 [his brother-in-law] Robert Chichester (age 37) and Frances Harrington were married.
In 1620 William Coryton (age 40) was appointed Vice-Warden of the Stannaries.
On or before 29 Jul 1621 [his son] John Coryton 1st Baronet was born to William Coryton (age 41) and [his wife] Elizabeth Chichester. He was baptised on 29 Jul 1621 St Mellion.
Before 23 Apr 1623 [his brother-in-law] Robert Chichester (age 45) and Ursula Hill were married.
In 1624, 1626 and 1628 William Coryton (age 44) was elected MP Cornwall.
In 1625 William Coryton (age 45) was elected MP Liskeard.
On 24 Apr 1627 [his brother-in-law] Robert Chichester (age 49) died. He was buried in Church of St Mary the Virgin, Pilton [Map].
In Jul 1627 William Coryton (age 47) was arrested for refusing to subscribe the forced loan of that year, and imprisoned in the Fleet Prison [Map], where he remained until March 1628.
In 1640 William Coryton (age 60) was elected MP Grampound.
In 1640 William Coryton (age 60) was elected MP Launceston.
On 27 Dec 1643 [his son] John Coryton 1st Baronet (age 22) and [his daughter-in-law] Elizabeth Mills Lady Coryton were married. They had two sons and two daughters.
In 1651 William Coryton (age 71) died.
On 26 Jan 1657 [his former wife] Elizabeth Chichester died.
