Not long after, the [his wife] Duchess of Orléans (age 22), the wife of the Lord Duke of Orléans (age 21), the brother of the king, bore a son, whom it pleased to name [his son] Philip.

On 24th November 1394 [his son] Charles Valois Duke Orléans was born to Louis Valois I Duke Orléans (age 22) and [his wife] Valentina Visconti Duchess of Orleans (age 23). He married (1) 1406 his first cousin Isabella Valois Queen Consort England, daughter of Charles "Beloved Mad" VI King France and Isabeau Wittelsbach Queen Consort France, and had issue (2) 1410 his second cousin Bonne Armagnac Duchess Orléans, daughter of Bernard VII Count Armagnac and Bonne Valois Countess Armagnac and Savoy (3) 1440 his second cousin once removed Mary de la Marck Duchess Orléans, daughter of Adolph de la Marck I Duke Cleves and Marie Valois Duchess Cleves, and had issue.

Life Charles VI by a Monk of St Denis [~1420]. [July 1396]. In the month of July, the venerable [his wife] Duchess of Orléans (age 25) gave birth to a son [[his son] Philip Valois Orléans Count Vertus] for her lord the duke (age 24), whom Duke Philip of Burgundy, the king's uncle, raised from the sacred font and named with his own name.

In July 1396 [his son] Philip Valois Orléans Count Vertus was born to Louis Valois I Duke Orléans (age 24) and [his wife] Valentina Visconti Duchess of Orleans (age 25). Coefficient of inbreeding 7.39%. He married 1410 his second cousin Catherine Valois Countess Vertus, daughter of John "Fearless" Valois Duke Burgundy and Margaret Wittelsbach Duchess Burgundy.

In April 1401 [his daughter] Marie Valois was born to Louis Valois I Duke Orléans (age 29) and [his wife] Valentina Visconti Duchess of Orleans (age 30). Coefficient of inbreeding 7.39%. She died aged less than one years old.

On 23rd November 1402 [his son] Jean "Bastard of Orléans" Valois Count Dunois Count Longueville was born to Louis Valois I Duke Orléans (age 30) and Mariette aka Yolande d'Enghien. She the daughter of [his brother] Charles "Beloved Mad" VI King France (age 37) and [his sister-in-law] Isabeau Wittelsbach Queen Consort France (age 36). He the son of Louis Valois I Duke Orléans (age 33) and [his wife] Valentina Visconti Duchess of Orleans (age 35). They were first cousins. He a great x 5 grandson of King Henry III of England. On 4th December 1406 [his daughter] Margaret Valois was born to Louis Valois I Duke Orléans (age 34) and [his wife] Valentina Visconti Duchess of Orleans (age 35). Coefficient of inbreeding 7.39%. She married 1423 her second cousin Richard Montfort, son of John Montfort V Duke Brittany and Joanna of Navarre Queen Consort England, and had issue.

On 4th December 1408 [his former wife] Valentina Visconti Duchess of Orleans (age 37) died.
