She the daughter of [his grandfather] Thomas Howard 1st Earl Suffolk (age 47) and [his grandmother] Catherine Knyvet Countess Suffolk (age 44). He the son of [his grandfather] Robert Cecil 1st Earl Salisbury (age 45) and [his grandmother] Elizabeth Brooke. They were fifth cousins.
In 1619 Charles Cecil was born to [his father] William Cecil 2nd Earl Salisbury (age 27) and [his mother] Catherine Howard Countess Salisbury (age 29).
In 1624 [his father] William Cecil 2nd Earl Salisbury (age 32) was appointed 418th Knight of the Garter by King James I of England and Ireland and VI of Scotland (age 57).

On 4th March 1639 [his brother-in-law] William Cavendish 3rd Earl Devonshire (age 21) and [his sister] Elizabeth Cecil Countess Devonshire (age 20) were married. She by marriage Countess Devonshire. He the son of William Cavendish 2nd Earl Devonshire and Christian Bruce Countess Devonshire.
In 1640 Charles Cecil (age 21) was appointed Lord Lieutenant of Hertfordshire.

In 1648 [his son] James Cecil 3rd Earl Salisbury was born to Charles Cecil (age 29) and [his wife] Diana Maxwell. He married 1661 his fifth cousin once removed Margaret Manners Countess of Salisbury, daughter of John Manners 8th Earl of Rutland and Frances Montagu Countess Rutland, and had issue.
Around 1649 [his daughter] Frances Cecil was born to Charles Cecil (age 30) and [his wife] Diana Maxwell. She married 24th December 1679 William Bowyer 2nd Baronet, son of William Bowyer 1st Baronet and Margaret Weld Lady Bowyer, and had issue.
In 1660 Charles Cecil (age 41) died.

The Chronicle of Geoffrey le Baker of Swinbroke. Baker was a secular clerk from Swinbroke, now Swinbrook, an Oxfordshire village two miles east of Burford. His Chronicle describes the events of the period 1303-1356: Gaveston, Bannockburn, Boroughbridge, the murder of King Edward II, the Scottish Wars, Sluys, Crécy, the Black Death, Winchelsea and Poitiers. To quote Herbert Bruce 'it possesses a vigorous and characteristic style, and its value for particular events between 1303 and 1356 has been recognised by its editor and by subsequent writers'. The book provides remarkable detail about the events it describes. Baker's text has been augmented with hundreds of notes, including extracts from other contemporary chronicles, such as the Annales Londonienses, Annales Paulini, Murimuth, Lanercost, Avesbury, Guisborough and Froissart to enrich the reader's understanding. The translation takes as its source the 'Chronicon Galfridi le Baker de Swynebroke' published in 1889, edited by Edward Maunde Thompson. Available at Amazon in eBook and Paperback.
