In January 1925 Herbert Henry Asquith 1st Earl of Oxford and Asquith [aged 72] was created 1st Earl of Oxford and Asquith.

On 15th February 1928 Herbert Henry Asquith 1st Earl of Oxford and Asquith [aged 75] died. His grandson Julian [aged 11] succeeded 2nd Earl of Oxford and Asquith.

On 28th August 1947 Julian Asquith 2nd Earl of Oxford and Asquith [aged 31] and Anne Palairet Countess of Oxford and Asquith [aged 30] were married at Brompton Oratory, Kensington. She by marriage Countess of Oxford and Asquith.

On 16th January 2011 Julian Asquith 2nd Earl of Oxford and Asquith [aged 94] died. His son Raymond [aged 58] succeeded 3rd Earl of Oxford and Asquith.
