In 1485 Robert Boyd 4th Lord Boyd was born to Alexander Boyd 3rd Lord Boyd [aged 33].
After 1508 [his father] Alexander Boyd 3rd Lord Boyd [deceased] died.
Around 1517 [his son] Robert Boyd 5th Lord Boyd was born to Robert Boyd 4th Lord Boyd [aged 32] and [his future wife] Helen Somerville.
Before 1518 Robert Boyd 4th Lord Boyd [aged 32] and Helen Somerville were married.
On 5th May 1534 [his son] Robert Boyd 5th Lord Boyd [aged 17] was appointed Bailie and Chamberlain of Kilmarnock replacing his father Robert Boyd 4th Lord Boyd [aged 49].
Before December 1542 Robert Boyd 4th Lord Boyd [aged 57] and Elizabeth Napier were married.
On 16th March 1544 the First Battle of Glasgow was fought between an army of Matthew Stewart 4th Earl Lennox [aged 27], who supported a marriage between King Edward VI of England and Ireland [aged 6] and Mary Queen of Scots [aged 1], and an army of James Hamilton 2nd Earl Arran [aged 28] who opposed it.
Robert Boyd 4th Lord Boyd [aged 59] fought for James Hamilton 2nd Earl Arran for which was rewarded with the family lands (which he held in tack), as well as the restoration of his family's title of Lord Boyd.
On 6th September 1545 [his son] Robert Boyd 5th Lord Boyd [aged 28] had a charter of the Lordship of Kilmarnock on his father's [aged 60] resignation, with sasine following 22 September.
Before February 1549 Robert Boyd 4th Lord Boyd [aged 64] and Marion Colquhon were married.
In 1557 or 1558 Robert Boyd 4th Lord Boyd [aged 72] died.
