On or before 31st May 1641 John Crewe of Utkinton was born to John Crewe [aged 38] and Mary Done [aged 36]. He was baptised on 31st May 1641 at St Helen's Church, Tarporley [Map].

On 12th May 1670 [his father] John Crewe [aged 67] died. He was buried at St Helen's Church, Tarporley [Map] where he has a monument with the inscription:

Beside this wall lies John Crewe of Utkinton, in the county of Chester, Esquire, younger son of Sir Ranulph Crewe of Crewe, in the same county, Knight, who married Mary, second daughter of Sir John Done of Utkinton, aforesaid, Knight, and died on the twelfth day of May in the year of Christ 1670.

Before 10th June 1696 John Crewe of Utkinton [aged 55] and Mary Wagstaff were married.

On or before 10th June 1696 [his wife] Mary Wagstaff died. She was buried on 10th June 1696 at St Chad's Church, Tachbrook [Map].

After 10th June 1696 John Crewe of Utkinton [aged 55] and Mary Aston were married.
