In 1832 General William Carr Beresford 1st Viscount Beresford [aged 63] and Louisa Beresford Viscountess Beresford were married. There was no issue. She by marriage Viscountess Beresford of Beresford in Staffordshire. He the illegitmate son of George de la Poer Beresford 1st Marquess Waterford. They were first cousins.
On 8th January 1854 General William Carr Beresford 1st Viscount Beresford [aged 85] died. Viscount Beresford of Beresford in Staffordshire and Baron Beresford of Albuera and Dungarvan in the County of Waterford extinct.
