In or before 1613 Francis Drake 1st Baronet [aged 24] and Jane Bampfield were married.

Before 25th September 1617 Francis Drake 1st Baronet [aged 29] and [his mother] Joan Stroud were married.

On 25th September 1617 Francis Drake 2nd Baronet was born to Francis Drake 1st Baronet [aged 29] and Joan Stroud.

On 11th March 1637 Francis Drake 1st Baronet [aged 48] died. His son Francis [aged 19] succeeded 2nd Baronet Drake of Buckland in Devon.

On 18th January 1640 Francis Drake 2nd Baronet [aged 22] and Dorothy Pym were married at St Margaret's Church, Westminster [Map]. There was no issue from the marriage.

In 1645 Francis Drake 2nd Baronet [aged 27] was appointed High Sheriff of Devon.

In 1646 Francis Drake 2nd Baronet [aged 28] was elected MP Bere Alston.

In 1660 Francis Drake 2nd Baronet [aged 42] was elected MP Newport. He was re-elected in 1661.

On 6th January 1662 Francis Drake 2nd Baronet [aged 44] died. His nephew Francis [aged 19] succeeded 3rd Baronet Drake of Buckland in Devon.
