On 18th March 1890 Robert Walker 4th Baronet was born to James Heron Walker 3rd Baronet [aged 24].
On 12th June 1899 [his grandfather] James Walker 2nd Baronet [aged 69] died. His son [his father] James [aged 34] succeeded 3rd Baronet Walker of Sand Hutton in Yorkshire.
On 25th November 1900 [his father] James Heron Walker 3rd Baronet [aged 35] died. His son Robert [aged 10] succeeded 4th Baronet Walker of Sand Hutton in Yorkshire.
On 5th June 1913 Robert Walker 4th Baronet [aged 23] and Synolda Emily Thursby-Pelham Lady Walker and Jaffray were married. She by marriage Lady Walker of Sand Hutton in Yorkshire.
On 7th April 1914 [his son] James Heron Walker 5th Baronet was born to Robert Walker 4th Baronet [aged 24] and [his wife] Synolda Emily Thursby-Pelham Lady Walker and Jaffray.
In 1922 Robert Walker 4th Baronet [aged 31] and Synolda Emily Thursby-Pelham Lady Walker and Jaffray were divorced.
On 23rd January 1923 Robert Walker 4th Baronet [aged 32] and Esme Ethel Alice d'Beaumont Lady Walker were married. She by marriage Lady Walker of Sand Hutton in Yorkshire.
On 3rd May 1923 William Edmund Jaffray 4th Baronet [aged 27] and [his former wife] Synolda Emily Thursby-Pelham Lady Walker and Jaffray were married.
On 11th February 1930 Robert Walker 4th Baronet [aged 39] died. His son James [aged 15] succeeded 5th Baronet Walker of Sand Hutton in Yorkshire.
Chronicle of Geoffrey le Baker of Swinbroke
Baker was a secular clerk from Swinbroke, now Swinbrook, an Oxfordshire village two miles east of Burford. His Chronicle describes the events of the period 1303-1356: Gaveston, Bannockburn, Boroughbridge, the murder of King Edward II, the Scottish Wars, Sluys, Crécy, the Black Death, Winchelsea and Poitiers. To quote Herbert Bruce 'it possesses a vigorous and characteristic style, and its value for particular events between 1303 and 1356 has been recognised by its editor and by subsequent writers'. The book provides remarkable detail about the events it describes. Baker's text has been augmented with hundreds of notes, including extracts from other contemporary chronicles, such as the Annales Londonienses, Annales Paulini, Murimuth, Lanercost, Avesbury, Guisborough and Froissart to enrich the reader's understanding. The translation takes as its source the 'Chronicon Galfridi le Baker de Swynebroke' published in 1889, edited by Edward Maunde Thompson.
