Before 1390 [his father] Richard Vernon [aged 21] and Alice Vernon were married. They were fifth cousin once removed.

In 1390 [his father] Richard Vernon [aged 22] and [his mother] Joan ferch Rhys Griffith were married.

On 23rd July 1403 [his father] Richard Vernon [aged 35] died.

On 24th May 1409 Fulk de Pembridge of Tong Castle died. The estates at Tong, Shropshire were inherited by his great-nephew Richard Vernon aka Pembridge [aged 20] grandson of his sister [his grandmother] Juliana Pembridge.

Around 1415 [his son] Richard Vernon was born to Richard Vernon aka Pembridge [aged 26] and [his future wife] Benedicta Ludlow [aged 24] at Haddon Hall, Derbyshire [Map]. He married before 1434 Elizabeth Pembrugge and had issue.

In 1416 [his son] William Vernon was born to Richard Vernon aka Pembridge [aged 27] and [his future wife] Benedicta Ludlow [aged 25] at Haddon Hall, Derbyshire [Map].

In 1426 Richard Vernon aka Pembridge [aged 37] was appointed Speaker of the House of Commons.

Before 1427 Richard Vernon aka Pembridge [aged 37] and Benedicta Ludlow [aged 35] were married.

In 1427 [his wife] Benedicta Ludlow [aged 36] died at Tong, Shropshire.

In 1434 [his son] Richard Vernon [aged 19] died at Haddon Hall, Derbyshire [Map].

In 1439 [his mother] Joan ferch Rhys Griffith died.

After 1447 [his son-in-law] John Stanley [aged 24] and [his daughter] Elizabeth Vernon [aged 20] were married. They were half fourth cousins.

Around 1451 [his daughter] Agnes Vernon [aged 24] died at Haddon Hall, Derbyshire [Map].

Richard Vernon aka Pembridge was great-nephew of Fulk de Pembridge of Tong Castle and heir of the the aforesaid Fulk, and to Benedicta, wife of the same Richard son of Richard, and to the heirs of the body of Richard son of Richard, and Benedicta, to be held, after after the death of the aforesaid Isabel, in such a way that if the same Richard son of Richard, and Benedicta die without heirs of their bodies, then the advowson and patronage of the aforesaid College remain with the heirs of the body of the same Richard son of Richard; and if the same Richard son of Richard die without an heir of his body, then the advovson and patronage of the aforesaid College remain with William Ludlow [Note. Son of William Ludlow and Isabel de Lingen] and Isabel his wife, sister of the aforesaid Richard, son of Richard, and the heirs of the body of the same William Ludlow and Isabel his wife; and if the same William Ludlow and Isabel his wife die without heirs of their bodies, then the advowson and patronage of the aforesaid College remain with the heirs of the body of the same Isabel, wife of William. Around 1391 she was born to John Ludlow and Isabel de Lingen at Hodnet, Shropshire. Before 1427 Richard Vernon aka Pembridge and she were married. In 1427 Benedicta Ludlow died at Tong, Shropshire.

On 24th August 1451 Richard Vernon aka Pembridge [aged 62] died at Haddon Hall, Derbyshire [Map]. He was buried at St Bartholemew's Church, Tong [Map].
