Richard Meredith 2nd Baronet was born to William Meredith 1st Baronet and Susannah Barker of London Lady Meredith.
On 6th November 1621 [his father] William Meredith 1st Baronet [aged 18] and [his mother] Susannah Barker of London Lady Meredith [aged 31] were married at St Olave's Church [Map]. They had six sons and six daughters.
On 21st February 1654 [his mother] Susannah Barker of London Lady Meredith [aged 64] died. She was buried at St Nicholas Church, Leeds where there is an inscription: "Here lyeth also the Body of the Hon'ble Sir [his father] W. Meredith [aged 51], late of this Parish, Baronet, son of the above mentioned Sir Wm Meredith and Jane his wife. He married first Susanna, ye daughter of Francis Barker of London, Esq., by whom he had 6 sons and 6 daughters. She dyed Feb. 21, 1654, and lyes interrd in this place. After whose death he married Mary, daughter of Henry Goring of Hydown in the County of Sussex, Esq., and relict of Thomas Aynscombe of Mayfeild [sic] in the same County, Esq. He died the 10th of April 1675, in the 72nd year of his age, full of days and honour."
After 21st February 1654 [his father] William Meredith 1st Baronet [aged 51] and Mary Goring Lady Meredith were married. She by marriage Lady Meredith of Stainsley in Denbighshire.
In 1655 Richard Meredith 2nd Baronet and Susanna Skippon were married.
In 1656 Richard Meredith 2nd Baronet was elected MP Kent.
In 1659 Richard Meredith 2nd Baronet was elected MP Sandwich.
Around 1666 [his son] William Meredith 3rd Baronet was born to Richard Meredith 2nd Baronet and [his wife] Susanna Skippon.
In or after 1667 [his son] Richard Meredith 4th Baronet was born to Richard Meredith 2nd Baronet and [his wife] Susanna Skippon.
On 10th April 1675 [his father] William Meredith 1st Baronet [aged 72] died. His son Richard succeeded 2nd Baronet Meredith of Stainsley in Denbighshire.
Around 1677 [his son] Roger Meredith 5th Baronet was born to Richard Meredith 2nd Baronet and [his wife] Susanna Skippon. He married before December 1738 Maria Tyssen.

On or before 5th September 1679 Richard Meredith 2nd Baronet died. He was buried at St Nicholas Church, Leeds on 5th September 1679. His son William [aged 13] succeeded 3rd Baronet Meredith of Stainsley in Denbighshire.
