On 22nd March 1819 [his father] Edward Sacheverell Chandos-Pole [aged 27] and [his mother] Anna Maria Wilmot were married.
On 10th January 1829 Henry Chandos-Pole was born to Edward Sacheverell Chandos-Pole [aged 36] and Anna Maria Wilmot.
In 1842 Henry Chandos-Pole [aged 12] adopted the additional surname Gell when he inherited the Gell estates including Hopton Hall, Derbyshire [Map].
In 1851 Henry Chandos-Pole-Gell [aged 21] and Henrietta Auriol Drummond-Hay [aged 21] were married.
On 24th June 1858 [his daughter] Mabel Alice Chandos-Pole was born to Henry Chandos-Pole-Gell [aged 29] and [his wife] Henrietta Auriol Drummond-Hay [aged 28]. She died aged one in 1859.
On 26th July 1859 [his daughter] Mabel Alice Chandos-Pole [aged 1] died. She was buried at St Andrew's Church, Radbourne [Map].
Mabel Alice Chandos-Pole: On 24th June 1858 she was born to Henry Chandos-Pole-Gell and Henrietta Auriol Drummond-Hay.
On 19th January 1863 [his mother] Anna Maria Wilmot died.
On 19th January 1863 [his father] Edward Sacheverell Chandos-Pole [aged 70] died.
In 1866 Henry Chandos-Pole-Gell [aged 36] was appointed High Sheriff of Derbyshire.
On 21st March 1868 [his wife] Henrietta Auriol Drummond-Hay [aged 38] died. She was buried at St Andrew's Church, Radbourne [Map].
Henrietta Auriol Drummond-Hay: In 1830 she was born to Edward William Dummond-Hay. In 1851 Henry Chandos-Pole-Gell and she were married.
In 1869 Henry Chandos-Pole-Gell [aged 39] and Teresa Charlotte Manningham-Buller [aged 34] were married.
William of Worcester's Chronicle of England
William of Worcester, born around 1415, and died around 1482 was secretary to John Fastolf, the renowned soldier of the Hundred Years War, during which time he collected documents, letters, and wrote a record of events. Following their return to England in 1440 William was witness to major events. Twice in his chronicle he uses the first person: 1. when writing about the murder of Thomas, 7th Baron Scales, in 1460, he writes '… and I saw him lying naked in the cemetery near the porch of the church of St. Mary Overie in Southwark …' and 2. describing King Edward IV's entry into London in 1461 he writes '… proclaimed that all the people themselves were to recognize and acknowledge Edward as king. I was present and heard this, and immediately went down with them into the city'. William’s Chronicle is rich in detail. It is the source of much information about the Wars of the Roses, including the term 'Diabolical Marriage' to describe the marriage of Queen Elizabeth Woodville’s brother John’s marriage to Katherine, Dowager Duchess of Norfolk, he aged twenty, she sixty-five or more, and the story about a paper crown being placed in mockery on the severed head of Richard, 3rd Duke of York.

On 19th November 1872 [his son] Brigadier-General Harry Anthony Chandos-Pole was born to Henry Chandos-Pole-Gell [aged 43] and [his wife] Teresa Charlotte Manningham-Buller [aged 37].
On 31st October 1902 Henry Chandos-Pole-Gell [aged 73] died.
In July 1911 [his former wife] Teresa Charlotte Manningham-Buller [aged 76] died. She was buried at St Margaret's Church, Carsington [Map].
