She married 23rd March 1933 Captain David Reginald Rhys, son of Walter FitzUryan Rice 7th Baron Dynevor and Margaret Child-Villiers Baroness Dynevor.

On 14th July 1912 [her son] Henry Wellesley 6th Duke Wellington was born to [her husband] Arthur Charles Wellesley 5th Duke Wellington [aged 36] and Lillian Maud Glen Coats Duchess Wellington [aged 27].

On 30th April 1914 [her brother-in-law] Gerald Wellesley 7th Duke Wellington [aged 28] and Dorothy Violet Ashton Duchess Wellington [aged 24] were married. The marriage necessary to produce an heir. He bi-sexual, she also. The marriage resulted in two children followed by separation although not divorce. She the daughter of Robert Ashton and Lucy Cecilia Dunn-Garnder Countess Scarborough. He the son of [her father-in-law] Arthur Charles Wellesley 4th Duke Wellington [aged 65] and [her mother-in-law] Kathleen Emily Bulkeley Williams Duchess Wellington [aged 65].

On 23rd March 1933 [her son-in-law] Captain David Reginald Rhys [aged 26] and Anne Wellesley [aged 23] were married. She the daughter of Arthur Charles Wellesley 5th Duke Wellington [aged 56] and Lillian Maud Glen Coats Duchess Wellington [aged 48].

On 11th December 1941 [her husband] Arthur Charles Wellesley 5th Duke Wellington [aged 65] died. His son Henry [aged 29] succeeded 6th Duke Wellington, 10th Earl Mornington, 10th Viscount Wellesley of Dangan Castle, 6th Viscount Wellington of Talavera.

On 16th September 1943 [her son] Henry Wellesley 6th Duke Wellington [aged 31] was killed during an attempt to take Pimple Hill. He was buried where he lay. He was unmarried and without issue. His uncle [her former brother-in-law] Gerald [aged 58] succeeded 7th Duke Wellington, 11th Earl Mornington, 11th Viscount Wellesley of Dangan Castle, 7th Viscount Wellington of Talavera. Dorothy Violet Ashton Duchess Wellington [aged 54] by marriage Duchess Wellington.

In 1946 Lillian Maud Glen Coats Duchess Wellington [aged 61] died.
