Walter FitzUryan Rice 7th Baron Dynevor 1873-1956

On 4th February 1869 [his father] Arthur Rice 6th Baron Dynevor [aged 33] and [his mother] Selina Lascelles [aged 28] were married. They were third cousins.

On 17th August 1873 Walter FitzUryan Rice 7th Baron Dynevor was born to Arthur Rice 6th Baron Dynevor [aged 37] and Selina Lascelles [aged 32].

On 13th August 1878 [his grandfather] Francis Rice Trevor 5th Baron Dynevor [aged 74] died. His son [his father] Arthur [aged 42] succeeded 6th Baron Dynevor of Dynevor in Camarthenshire.

On 16th December 1889 [his mother] Selina Lascelles [aged 48] died at Llandeilo.

On 12th October 1898 Walter FitzUryan Rice 7th Baron Dynevor [aged 25] and Margaret Child-Villiers Baroness Dynevor [aged 23] were married. She the daughter of Victor Albert George Child-Villiers 7th Earl Jersey [aged 53] and Margaret Elizabeth Leigh Countess Jersey [aged 48].

In 1899 Thomas Pakenham 5th Earl of Longford [aged 34] and [his sister-in-law] Mary Julia Child-Villiers Countess Longford [aged 22] were married. She by marriage Countess Longford. She the daughter of [his father-in-law] Victor Albert George Child-Villiers 7th Earl Jersey [aged 53] and [his mother-in-law] Margaret Elizabeth Leigh Countess Jersey [aged 49]. He the son of William Pakenham 4th Earl of Longford and Selina Rice Trevor Countess Longford [aged 62].

On 21st September 1899 [his son] Charles Arthur Uryan Rhys 8th Baron Dynevor was born to Walter FitzUryan Rice 7th Baron Dynevor [aged 26] and [his wife] Margaret Child-Villiers Baroness Dynevor [aged 24].

On 27th August 1903 [his daughter] Imogen Alice Rice Viscountess Hampden was born to Walter FitzUryan Rice 7th Baron Dynevor [aged 30] and [his wife] Margaret Child-Villiers Baroness Dynevor [aged 28]. She married 1936 her third cousin David Brand 5th Viscount Hampden, son of Thomas Brand 3rd Viscount Hampden and Katharine Mary Montagu-Douglas-Scott, and had issue.

On 18th March 1907 [his son] Captain David Reginald Rhys was born to Walter FitzUryan Rice 7th Baron Dynevor [aged 33] and [his wife] Margaret Child-Villiers Baroness Dynevor [aged 32]. He married 23rd March 1933 Anne Wellesley, daughter of Arthur Charles Wellesley 5th Duke Wellington and Lillian Maud Glen Coats Duchess Wellington.

On 8th October 1908 [his brother-in-law] George Child-Villiers 8th Earl of Jersey [aged 35] and Cynthia Almina Needham Countess Jersey were married. She the daughter of Francis Needham 3rd Earl of Kilmorey [aged 66]. He the son of [his father-in-law] Victor Albert George Child-Villiers 7th Earl Jersey [aged 63] and [his mother-in-law] Margaret Elizabeth Leigh Countess Jersey [aged 58].

On January 1910 Walter FitzUryan Rice 7th Baron Dynevor [aged 36] was elected MP Brighton. He was re-elcted in Decmber.

On 8th June 1911 [his father] Arthur Rice 6th Baron Dynevor [aged 75] died at Dynevor Castle [Map]. His son Walter [aged 37] succeeded 7th Baron Dynevor of Dynevor in Camarthenshire.

On 31st May 1915 [his father-in-law] Victor Albert George Child-Villiers 7th Earl Jersey [aged 70] died at Osterley Park. His son [his brother-in-law] George [aged 41] succeeded 8th Earl Jersey, 11th Viscount Grandison, 8th Viscount Villiers, 8th Baron Villiers. Cynthia Almina Needham Countess Jersey by marriage Countess Jersey.

On 31st December 1923 [his brother-in-law] George Child-Villiers 8th Earl of Jersey [aged 50] died. His son George [aged 13] succeeded 9th Earl Jersey, 12th Viscount Grandison, 9th Viscount Villiers, 9th Baron Villiers.

In 1933 [his sister-in-law] Mary Julia Child-Villiers Countess Longford [aged 56] died.

On 23rd March 1933 [his son] Captain David Reginald Rhys [aged 26] and [his daughter-in-law] Anne Wellesley [aged 23] were married. She the daughter of Arthur Charles Wellesley 5th Duke Wellington [aged 56] and Lillian Maud Glen Coats Duchess Wellington [aged 48].

In 1936 [his son-in-law] David Brand 5th Viscount Hampden [aged 33] and [his daughter] Imogen Alice Rice Viscountess Hampden [aged 32] were married. They were third cousins.

On 8th June 1956 Walter FitzUryan Rice 7th Baron Dynevor [aged 82] died. His son Charles [aged 56] succeeded 8th Baron Dynevor of Dynevor in Camarthenshire.

In 1959 [his former wife] Margaret Child-Villiers Baroness Dynevor [aged 84] died.
