Bishop Rowland Meyrick 1505-1566

In 1505 Bishop Rowland Meyrick was born.

In 1541 Bishop Rowland Meyrick [aged 36] obtained preferment at Eglwysael, and was also made precentor of Llandewy-Velfrey, Pembrokeshire.

In 1544 Bishop Rowland Meyrick [aged 39] was collated to the vicarage of Stoke-by-Nayland, Suffolk.

In 1547 Bishop Rowland Meyrick [aged 42] was appointed chancellor of the diocese of Wells.

In 1550 Bishop Rowland Meyrick [aged 45] became canon and chancellor of St David's Cathedral, Pembrokeshire [Map].

In 1554 Bishop Rowland Meyrick [aged 49] and Catherine Barret were married.

On 21st December 1559 Bishop Rowland Meyrick [aged 54] was consecrated as Bishop of Bangor.

On 24th January 1566 Bishop Rowland Meyrick [aged 61] died.

[his son] Gelli Meyrick was born to Bishop Rowland Meyrick and Catherine Barret. He married in or before 1575 Margaret Lewys and had issue.
