On 14th May 1750 Thomas Gee was born to Ralph Gee [aged 52] and Sarah Fox.

Around 1779 Thomas Gee [aged 28] and Betty Bennett were married.

On 9th November 1780 [his father] Ralph Gee [aged 82] died. Thomas Gee [aged 30] inherited Ashes Farm, Kinder [Map].

On 1st December 1781 [his son] John Gee was born to Thomas Gee [aged 31] and [his wife] Betty Bennett. He married 9th May 1805 Mary Carrington and had issue.

On 9th May 1805 [his son] John Gee [aged 23] and [his daughter-in-law] Mary Carrington were married at All Saints Church, Glossop [Map]. Witnesses were James CARINGTON and Robert CARRINGTON who were probably her brothers.

On 2nd September 1824 [his wife] Betty Bennett died.

14th February 1825. Probate for GEE, Betty, of Kinder in the Chapelry of Hayfield, 2nd September 1824. Died September 1824. Husband Thomas GEE [aged 74], Anne TOMMINS, Mr. John GEE of the Ashes, Mary GEE, wife of John GEE aforesaid; Mary TOMMINS - One Hundred pounds left to her by the late Edward BENNETT of Kinder; John GEE of kinder and James KINDER of Shire-oaks in the Parish of Glossop. WITNESSES: John Crowther, Thomas GEE. Probate extracted 14th February 1825 estate valued at under £800.

On 3rd April 1846 Thomas Gee [aged 95] died. [his son] John Gee [aged 64] inherited Ashes Farm, Kinder [Map].

Is this a mistake for [his father] Ralph Gee] in the township of Hayfield, Yeoman & one of the next of kin of the deceased, Samuel WASSE of Hayfield, Clerk & John MARRIOTT, of Hayfield, Yeoman. Administration was granted 14th July 1846. Estate Sworn as under the value of £200.
