On 10th February 1742 Arthur Gore 2nd Baronet [aged 57] died. His son Arthur Gore [aged 39] succeeded 3rd Baronet Gore of Newtown in County Mayo.

On 17th April 1773 Arthur Saunders Gore 1st Earl Arran [aged 70] died. His son Arthur [aged 38] succeeded 2nd Earl Arran, 2nd Viscount Sudley of Castle Gore in County Mayo, 2nd Baron Saunders of Deeps in County Wexford, 4th Baronet Gore of Newtown in County Mayo. On 20th January 1837 Arthur Saunders Gore 3rd Earl Arran [aged 75] died without issue. His nephew Philip [aged 35] succeeded 4th Earl Arran, 3rd Viscount Sudley of Castle Gore in County Mayo, 3rd Baron Saunders of Deeps in County Wexford, 6th Baronet Gore of Newtown in County Mayo. Elizabeth Marianne Napier Countess Arran [aged 17] by marriage Countess Arran.

On 19th December 1958 Arthur Gore 6th Earl of Arran [aged 90] died. His son Arthur [aged 55] succeeded 7th Earl Arran, 6th Viscount Sudley of Castle Gore in County Mayo, 6th Baron Saunders of Deeps in County Wexford, 8th Baronet Gore of Newtown in County Mayo. He committed suicide nine days later.

On 28th December 1958 Arthur Gore 7th Earl of Arran [aged 55] committed suicide at Poltimore, Devon nine days after succeeding his father as Earl of Arran. He was unmarried. He, reportedly, killed himself because he was homosexual. His brother Arthur [aged 48] succeeded 8th Earl Arran, 7th Viscount Sudley of Castle Gore in County Mayo, 7th Baron Saunders of Deeps in County Wexford, 9th Baronet Gore of Newtown in County Mayo.
