Paternal Family Tree: Trevelyan
In 1733 [his father] George Trevelyan 3rd Baronet [aged 25] and [his mother] Julia Calverly Lady Trevelyan [aged 20] were married.
On 6th February 1735 John Trevelyan 4th Baronet was born to George Trevelyan 3rd Baronet [aged 27] and Julia Calverly Lady Trevelyan [aged 22]. He was christened at Calverley, York, on 7th March 1735.

Louisa Marianne Simond: she was born to Peter Simond of London. On 20th April 1757 John Trevelyan 4th Baronet and she were married at Saint James, Westminster. She brought to the marriage her merchant father's partnership in sugar cane plantations on Grenada, which included the ownership of about 1,000 slaves. On 29th February 1772 she died. Will of Peter Simond Merchant of City of London proved 7th December 1785. He left an annuity of £400 p.a. to his wife Susanna and £6000 for her to pass under her will, £2500 to the younger children of his daughter Susanna Louisa Baroness St John widow and £2500 to the younger children of 'my dear late daughter Lousia Mariana' in such manner and form as 'my dear son-in-law Sir John Trevelyan of Nettlecombe' should determine; the remaining £1000 was for Susanna Simond to bequeath as she saw fit. He left his estates and enslaved people in Grenada to Susanna Louisa St John, Sir John Trevelyan and John Hankey 'my partner (whom with the entire approbation of my said daughter Lady St John and the said Sir John Trevelyan I adopt as a child in consideration of his great fidelity and honourable conduct to me)', as tenants in common. In a codicil he noted the death of his wife and appointed Beeston Long as an additional executor.
On 25th September 1755 [his grandfather] John Trevelyan 2nd Baronet [aged 85] died. His son [his father] George [aged 47] succeeded 3rd Baronet Trevelyan of Nettlecombe. [his mother] Julia Calverly Lady Trevelyan [aged 42] by marriage Lady Trevelyan of Nettlecombe.
In 1761 [his son] John Trevelyan 5th Baronet was born to John Trevelyan 4th Baronet [aged 25] and [his wife] Louisa Marianne Simond. He married before 31st March 1797 Maria Wilson, daughter of Thomas Spencer Wilson 6th Baronet, and had issue.
In 1763 [his son] Walter Trevelyan was born to John Trevelyan 4th Baronet [aged 27] and [his wife] Louisa Marianne Simond.
On 23rd November 1764 [his son] Archdeacon George Trevelyan was born to John Trevelyan 4th Baronet [aged 29] and [his wife] Louisa Marianne Simond. He married before 2nd April 1807 Harriet Neave and had issue.
On 11th September 1768 [his father] George Trevelyan 3rd Baronet [aged 60] died. His son John [aged 33] succeeded 4th Baronet Trevelyan of Nettlecombe.
On 29th February 1772 [his wife] Louisa Marianne Simond died.
In 1777 John Trevelyan 4th Baronet [aged 41] was appointed High Sheriff of Somerset.
In 1777 John Trevelyan 4th Baronet [aged 41] was elected MP Newcastle upon Tyne which seat he held until 1780.
The History of William Marshal was commissioned by his son shortly after William’s death in 1219 to celebrate the Marshal’s remarkable life; it is an authentic, contemporary voice. The manuscript was discovered in 1861 by French historian Paul Meyer. Meyer published the manuscript in its original Anglo-French in 1891 in two books. This book is a line by line translation of the first of Meyer’s books; lines 1-10152. Book 1 of the History begins in 1139 and ends in 1194. It describes the events of the Anarchy, the role of William’s father John, John’s marriages, William’s childhood, his role as a hostage at the siege of Newbury, his injury and imprisonment in Poitou where he met Eleanor of Aquitaine and his life as a knight errant. It continues with the accusation against him of an improper relationship with Margaret, wife of Henry the Young King, his exile, and return, the death of Henry the Young King, the rebellion of Richard, the future King Richard I, war with France, the death of King Henry II, and the capture of King Richard, and the rebellion of John, the future King John. It ends with the release of King Richard and the death of John Marshal.

On 14th February 1777 [his uncle] Walter Calverley aka Blackett 2nd Baronet [aged 69] died. Baronet Blackett of Claverley in Yorkshire extinct. He was buried at Calverley. His estates, including Wallington Hall, Northumberland [Map], in line with the will of William Blackett 2nd Baronet, passed to John Trevelyan 4th Baronet [aged 42], the son of Sir Walter's sister [his mother] Julia [aged 64]; Wallington Hall, Northumberland [Map] remained in the Trevelyan family for over two centuries.
In 1780 John Trevelyan 4th Baronet [aged 44] was elected MP Somerset which seat he held until 1796.

Before 31st March 1797 [his son] John Trevelyan 5th Baronet [aged 36] and [his daughter-in-law] Maria Wilson [aged 25] were married.
Before 2nd April 1807 [his son] Archdeacon George Trevelyan [aged 42] and [his daughter-in-law] Harriet Neave [aged 35] were married.
On 13th October 1827 [his son] Archdeacon George Trevelyan [aged 62] died.
On 18th April 1828 John Trevelyan 4th Baronet [aged 93] died. His son John [aged 67] succeeded 5th Baronet Trevelyan of Nettlecombe.
Will of Sir John Treveylan of [Nettlecombe but currently residing in] Bath proved 7th January 1829. He left his land in England to his oldest son John Trevelyan [aged 68] of Wallington in the county of Northumberland, and said that in an indenture of 29 and 30/01/1819 he had conveyed to his then two younger sons the Rev. Walter Trevelyan [aged 31] vicar of Henbury and the Rev. George Trevelyan, rector of Nettlecombe and the Archdeacon of Taunton, lately deceased 'all my share right and interest whatsoever in and to the estates and property of Peter Simond Esq. my late father-in-law' and any other property he held in Grenada. In his will he ratified this and re-expressed the division of the Grenada property as to one moiety to Walter Trevelyan and one moiety to the children of the deceased George Trevelyan.
