In 1329 John Bourchier 2nd Baron Bourchier was born to Robert Bourchier 1st Baron Bourchier and Margaret Prayers Baroness Bourchier.
In 1342 [his father] Robert Bourchier 1st Baron Bourchier was created 1st Baron Bourchier. [his mother] Margaret Prayers Baroness Bourchier by marriage Baroness Bourchier.
On 20th August 1348 [his father] Robert Bourchier 1st Baron Bourchier died of plague whilst escorting King Edward III's daughter Joan [aged 14] [who died a fortnight later] to Spain to marry Peter, the future King Peter of Castile. His son John [aged 19] succeeded 2nd Baron Bourchier.
Before 1374 John Bourchier 2nd Baron Bourchier [aged 44] and Maud Coggeshall Baroness Bourchier [aged 33] were married. She by marriage Baroness Bourchier.
Westminster Chronicle. It also happened in that summer at Königsberg in Prussia that, when a certain priest wished to celebrate mass, unexpectedly Sir William Douglas [aged 27]1, a Scottish knight, entered that church. Seeing him, the said priest refused to complete what he had begun. When asked why he had abandoned the work he had begun, he answered, saying that he did not wish to celebrate in the presence of schismatics. At this Sir William Douglas became enraged, and, filled with great fury, asserted that this had been maliciously contrived against him by Lord Clifford2. Therefore he threatened him and the other Englishmen. When he had at last gone out, the priest celebrated mass. When it was finished, the said William Douglas, with his men, furiously attacked the English in the open street and maimed a certain esquire. The esquire, having received the wound, rushed upon him with drawn sword and wounded him mortally. Douglas fell from that wound and was killed. Two other Scots also perished with him. There were also present in that city at that time certain lords of England, namely Lord Despenser [aged 17], Lord FitzWalter [aged 23], Lord Beaumont [aged 30], Lord Clifford, and Lord Bourchier [aged 62]. Lord Bourchier took up the banner, encouraged them and the other English to go out into the field. When they were there, the Germans, Bohemians, and men of Guelders joined them. But only the French joined the Scots. At last, at the urging of a certain great man of that country, they ceased from fighting, although in their hearts they remained persistently at odds.

Quo tandem egresso presbyter missam celebravit. Qua finita dictus Willelmus Duglas cum suis Anglicos in aperta strata furibundus invasit, quendam armigerum mutilavit. Armiger vero recepto vulnere irruit in eum ense nudo et letaliter vulneravit, qui ex eo vulnere cecidit interfectus. Occubueruntque simul eum co alii duo Socoti ; fuerunt etiam ibidem in illa civitate domini de Anglia protunc, scilicet dominus Despencer, dominus filius Walteri, dominus de Beaumond, dominus Clifforddominus de Bourceriæ. Qui accepto vexillo animavit illos et Anglicos alios transire ad campum quibus ibidem existentibus adhæserunt Alemanni, Boemici et illi de Geldria. Scotis vero solummodo Francigenæ adjunxerunt. Tandem ad instantiam cujusdam magni illius patriæ quieverunt a bello quamvis animo manebant perseveranter discordes.

The Deeds of the Dukes of Normandy
The Gesta Normannorum Ducum [The Deeds of the Dukes of Normandy] is a landmark medieval chronicle tracing the rise and fall of the Norman dynasty from its early roots through the pivotal events surrounding the Norman Conquest of England.
