Biography of Charles Chetwynd-Talbot 20th Earl of Shrewsbury 5th Earl Talbot 1860-1921

On 15th February 1855 [his father] Charles Chetwynd-Talbot 19th Earl of Shrewsbury 4th Earl Talbot (age 24) and [his mother] Anna Theresa Cockerell Countess Shrewsbury and Waterford (age 18) were married. He the son of [his grandfather] Henry John Chetwynd-Talbot 3rd Earl Talbot 18th Earl of Shrewsbury (age 51) and [his grandmother] Sarah Elizabeth Beresford Countess Talbot Shrewsbury Waterford (age 47).

On 13th November 1860 Charles Chetwynd-Talbot 20th Earl of Shrewsbury 5th Earl Talbot was born to [his father] Charles Chetwynd-Talbot 19th Earl of Shrewsbury 4th Earl Talbot (age 30) and [his mother] Anna Theresa Cockerell Countess Shrewsbury and Waterford (age 24).

On 4th June 1868 [his grandfather] Henry John Chetwynd-Talbot 3rd Earl Talbot 18th Earl of Shrewsbury (age 64) died. His son [his father] Charles (age 38) succeeded 19th Earl of Shrewsbury, 19th Earl Waterford, 4th Earl Talbot, 4th Viscount Ingestre, 6th Baron Talbot of Hensol in Glamorganshire. [his mother] Anna Theresa Cockerell Countess Shrewsbury and Waterford (age 32) by marriage Countess of Shrewsbury, Countess Waterford, Countess Talbot.

Charles Chetwynd-Talbot 19th Earl of Shrewsbury 4th Earl Talbot: On 13th April 1830 he was born to Henry John Chetwynd-Talbot 3rd Earl Talbot 18th Earl of Shrewsbury and Sarah Elizabeth Beresford Countess Talbot Shrewsbury Waterford. On 15th February 1855 Charles Chetwynd-Talbot 19th Earl of Shrewsbury 4th Earl Talbot and Anna Theresa Cockerell Countess Shrewsbury and Waterford were married. He the son of Henry John Chetwynd-Talbot 3rd Earl Talbot 18th Earl of Shrewsbury and Sarah Elizabeth Beresford Countess Talbot Shrewsbury Waterford. In 1874 he was appointed Privy Council. On 11th May 1877 Charles Chetwynd-Talbot 19th Earl of Shrewsbury 4th Earl Talbot died. His son Charles succeeded 20th Earl of Shrewsbury, 20th Earl Waterford, 5th Earl Talbot, 5th Viscount Ingestre, 7th Baron Talbot of Hensol in Glamorganshire.

Anna Theresa Cockerell Countess Shrewsbury and Waterford: On 20th February 1836 she was born to Richard Howe Cockerell and Theresa Howe Newcomen. On 29th July 1912 Anna Theresa Cockerell Countess Shrewsbury and Waterford died.

In 1874 [his father] Charles Chetwynd-Talbot 19th Earl of Shrewsbury 4th Earl Talbot (age 43) was appointed Privy Council.

On 2nd October 1875 [his brother-in-law] Charles Stewart Vane-Tempest-Stewart 6th Marquess Londonderry (age 23) and [his sister] Theresa Susey Helen Chetwynd-Talbot Marchioness Londonderry (age 19) were married at Alton, Cheadle, Staffordshire. She the daughter of [his father] Charles Chetwynd-Talbot 19th Earl of Shrewsbury 4th Earl Talbot (age 45) and [his mother] Anna Theresa Cockerell Countess Shrewsbury and Waterford (age 39). He the son of George Henry Vane-Tempest 5th Marquess Londonderry (age 54) and Mary Cornelia Edwards Marchioness Londonderry (age 46).

On 11th May 1877 [his father] Charles Chetwynd-Talbot 19th Earl of Shrewsbury 4th Earl Talbot (age 47) died. His son Charles (age 16) succeeded 20th Earl of Shrewsbury, 20th Earl Waterford, 5th Earl Talbot, 5th Viscount Ingestre, 7th Baron Talbot of Hensol in Glamorganshire.

In June 1882 Charles Chetwynd-Talbot 20th Earl of Shrewsbury 5th Earl Talbot (age 21) and Ellen Palmer Morewood Countess Shrewsbury Waterford Talbot (age 25) were married. She being older, already married, with a child. He being nineteen. They eloped. Their first child born three months after the marriage. She by marriage Countess of Shrewsbury, Countess Waterford, Countess Talbot. He the son of Charles Chetwynd-Talbot 19th Earl of Shrewsbury 4th Earl Talbot and Anna Theresa Cockerell Countess Shrewsbury and Waterford (age 46).

On 8th September 1882 [his son] Charles Chetwynd-Talbot was born to Charles Chetwynd-Talbot 20th Earl of Shrewsbury 5th Earl Talbot (age 21) and [his wife] Ellen Palmer Morewood Countess Shrewsbury Waterford Talbot (age 26). He married 23rd April 1904 Winifred Contance Hester Paget and had issue.

On 6th November 1884 George Henry Vane-Tempest 5th Marquess Londonderry (age 63) died. His son [his brother-in-law] Charles (age 32) succeeded 6th Marquess Londonderry. [his sister] Theresa Susey Helen Chetwynd-Talbot Marchioness Londonderry (age 28) by marriage Marchioness Londonderry.

On 23rd April 1904 [his son] Charles Chetwynd-Talbot (age 21) and [his daughter-in-law] Winifred Contance Hester Paget (age 22) were married. He the son of Charles Chetwynd-Talbot 20th Earl of Shrewsbury 5th Earl Talbot (age 43) and [his wife] Ellen Palmer Morewood Countess Shrewsbury Waterford Talbot (age 47).

On 29th July 1912 [his mother] Anna Theresa Cockerell Countess Shrewsbury and Waterford (age 76) died.

On 8th January 1915 [his son] Charles Chetwynd-Talbot (age 32) died of pneumonia. He was buried at St Mary the Virgin Church, Ingestre [Map]. Monument sculpted by Countess Feodora Gleichen (age 53).

Charles Chetwynd-Talbot: On 8th September 1882 he was born to Charles Chetwynd-Talbot 20th Earl of Shrewsbury 5th Earl Talbot and Ellen Palmer Morewood Countess Shrewsbury Waterford Talbot. On 23rd April 1904 Charles Chetwynd-Talbot and Winifred Contance Hester Paget were married. He the son of Charles Chetwynd-Talbot 20th Earl of Shrewsbury 5th Earl Talbot and Ellen Palmer Morewood Countess Shrewsbury Waterford Talbot.

On 16th March 1919 [his sister] Theresa Susey Helen Chetwynd-Talbot Marchioness Londonderry (age 62) died. Memorial at St Mary's Church, Long Newton [Map].

On 17th May 1921 Charles Chetwynd-Talbot 20th Earl of Shrewsbury 5th Earl Talbot (age 60) died. On 7th May 1921 His grandson [his grandson] John (age 6) succeeded 21st Earl of Shrewsbury, 21st Earl Waterford, 6th Earl Talbot, 6th Viscount Ingestre, 8th Baron Talbot of Hensol in Glamorganshire.
