The Deeds of King Henry V, or in Latin Henrici Quinti, Angliæ Regis, Gesta, is a first-hand account of the Agincourt Campaign, and subsequent events to his death in 1422. The author of the first part was a Chaplain in King Henry's retinue who was present from King Henry's departure at Southampton in 1415, at the siege of Harfleur, the battle of Agincourt, and the celebrations on King Henry's return to London. The second part, by another writer, relates the events that took place including the negotiations at Troye, Henry's marriage and his death in 1422.

On 12th April 1527 [his mother] Elizabeth Huddersfield (age 48) died.

On 24th June 1527 Nicholas Poyntz (age 17) and Joan Berkeley (age 1) were married. They were sixth cousins. She a great x 5 granddaughter of King Edward III of England.

Around 1528 [his son] Nicholas Poyntz of Iron Acton was born to Nicholas Poyntz (age 18) and [his wife] Joan Berkeley (age 2).

In 1533 [his father] Anthony Poyntz (age 53) died.

Before 6th September 1533 [his father] Anthony Poyntz and [his mother] Elizabeth Huddersfield were married.

Before 6th September 1533 [his father] Anthony Poyntz and [his step-mother] Joan Vaux "Mother Guildford" (age 70) were married.

On 21st August 1535 Nicholas Poyntz (age 25) visited by Henry VIII (age 44) and Queen Anne Boleyn of England (age 34) at Acton Court Iron Acton, Gloucestershire [Map].

In 1539 Nicholas Poyntz (age 29) was appointed High Sheriff of Gloucestershire.

In 1543 Nicholas Poyntz (age 33) was captain of the warship Great Galley used to attack Scotland as part of the Rough Wooing.

In May 1544 Nicholas Poyntz (age 34) sent by the Edward Seymour 1st Duke of Somerset (age 44) to burn at Kinghorn, Fife.

In 1545 Nicholas Poyntz (age 35) was appointed High Sheriff of Gloucestershire.

In 1547 Nicholas Poyntz (age 37) was appointed Knight of the Shire Gloucestershire.

This day sir Nicholas Ponynges (age 44), as yt is said, being an assystant at the Tower, was with the quene to knowe whether they should shot of at the Kentyshmen, and so bett downe the houses upon their hedds. "Nay," sayde the quene, "that were pyty, for mayny pore men and howsholders are like to be undone there and kylled. For," sayth she, "I trust, God willing," saythe she, "that they shalbe fought with tomorrowe."

Around 28th November 1556 Nicholas Poyntz (age 46) died.
