On 25 or 26th December 1251 [his father] King Alexander III of Scotland (age 10) and [his mother] Margaret Queen of Scotland (age 11) were married at York Minster [Map]. She by marriage Queen Consort Scotland. The couple remained in York until Jan 1252 after which they travelled to Edinburgh. She the daughter of [his grandfather] King Henry III of England (age 44) and [his grandmother] Eleanor of Provence Queen Consort England (age 28). He the son of [his grandfather] King Alexander II of Scotland and [his grandmother] Marie Coucy (age 33). They were half fourth cousins. He a great x 3 grandson of King Henry I "Beauclerc" England.

On 21st January 1264 Alexander Dunkeld Prince Scotland was born to King Alexander III of Scotland (age 22) and Margaret Queen of Scotland (age 23) at Jedburgh. He a grandson of King Henry III of England.

On 26th February 1275 [his mother] Margaret Queen of Scotland (age 34) died at Cupar Castle, Cupar. She was buried at Dunfermline Abbey [Map].

On 14th November 1282 Alexander Dunkeld Prince Scotland (age 18) and Margaret Dampierre Duchess Gueders (age 10) were married. She the daughter of Guy Dampierre Count Flanders (age 56) and Isabelle Luxemburg Countess Flanders (age 35). He the son of King Alexander III of Scotland (age 41) and Margaret Queen of Scotland. They were half third cousin once removed. He a grandson of King Henry III of England. She a great x 5 granddaughter of King William "Conqueror" I of England.

On 28th January 1284 Alexander Dunkeld Prince Scotland (age 20) died at Lindores Abbey, Newburgh. He was buried at Dunfermline Abbey [Map].

On 15th October 1285 [his father] King Alexander III of Scotland (age 44) and [his step-mother] Yolande Capet Duchess Brittany (age 24) were married. She the daughter of Robert Capet IV Count Dreux and Beatrice Montfort Countess Dreux (age 36). He the son of [his grandfather] King Alexander II of Scotland and [his grandmother] Marie Coucy. They were half second cousin twice removed. He a great x 3 grandson of King Henry I "Beauclerc" England. She a great x 5 granddaughter of King Henry I "Beauclerc" England.

In 1286 Reginald I Count Guelders (age 31) and [his former wife] Margaret Dampierre Duchess Gueders (age 14) were married. She by marriage Duchess Guelders. She the daughter of [his former father-in-law] Guy Dampierre Count Flanders (age 60) and [his former mother-in-law] Isabelle Luxemburg Countess Flanders (age 39). He the son of Otto II Duke Guelders and Philippe Dammartin Countess Eu. They were half third cousin once removed. He a great x 3 grandson of King Stephen I England. She a great x 5 granddaughter of King William "Conqueror" I of England.

In 1331 [his former wife] Margaret Dampierre Duchess Gueders (age 59) died.
